September 23, 201312 yr HI guys, I just flew this flight from Birmingham to Zurich. All the textures at the start of the flight were normal (although the sky looks very bland, which may also be a problem lol) until i broke through the clouds on final and my ground textures looked this... Im running in DX10 Preview Mode and have REX, UTX Europe, ORBX Global, ORBX England and Mega Airport Zurich. Any ideas?? Thanks
September 23, 201312 yr Would you mind posting your system specs in your profile, bouma, along with any overclocking. Then, if you wouldn't mind, please - copy your fsx.cfg and rename the copy as "bouma_fsx.txt and attach it to your reply, using the "More Reply Options" at the bottom-right corner of the post window. Then post it it back here. Sorry to make you work, but there could be any one of dozens of reasons for what we see in the pic, and this will help us cut it down to one or two options (we hope!). September 23, 201312 yr Author I also noted that the REX weather engine was not tracking the flight, maybe this has something to do with it too?
September 23, 201312 yr Here she is Bouma. I think you are trying to kill that 660Ti - this is not a high-performance GPU - ok! Wind those suggested back, and you should have smoother sailing! September 24, 201312 yr Paul, you really are amazing. Thanks for your help on my system over the weekend. Running great.

September 24, 201312 yr So if you guys talk about Zürich, I have with the fixer and Aerosoft Mega Airport LSZH this problem! any ideas how to fix this? Thanks Bruno Bruno
September 24, 201312 yr Did you try pushing the Legacy Slider to the left, Bruno? i7 [email protected] | 32GB RAM | EVGA RTX 3080Ti | Maximus Hero VII | 512GB 860 Pro | 512GB 850 Pro | 256GB 840 Pro | 2TB 860 QVO | 1TB 870 EVO | Seagate 3TB Cloud | EVGA 1000 GQ | Win10 Pro | EK Custom water cooling.
September 24, 201312 yr As I wrote in another post, for me almost everything is fine with the Fixer. Only one thing disturbs me at the "Megaairport Düsseldorf" (EDDL Aerosoft). In two places the 3D-grass has green squares around, in other places at EDDL not. Legacy-slider is already set one step to left..... Here`s a screenshot: The weather was a little bit foggy.... Any ideas, how to solve this? Thank you very much!
September 24, 201312 yr Commercial Member Hi Lars I am afraid what you are seeing is the Master DX10 bug. What I cannot tell from the picture is whether the grass is drawn via a FSX SDK bgl or a Legacy one. There is a FSX LOD 10/QMID 14 tile boundary running N/S through the middle of the airport and another running E/W south of the centre which divides the airport into 4 quarters. If it is drawn using a FSX SDK then a different grass model (which can be a copy the original) really needs to be used in each quarter. If its a legacy bgl then the most likely cause is that the grass is split into two drawing calls to the GPU. Again the solution is to use a different material for the second drawing call. So in summary you need to persuade Aerosoft that its easy to fix, and ask very politely if they will. If they want to try a copy of my tool I am happy to let them have one.As a workaround you could look to see if there is a bgl file with an obvious grass like name and try carefully moving it out of the scenery directory(but be careful not to lose it). September 24, 201312 yr Thank you very much for your quick answer, Steve! I´ve identified the bgl which contains the grass, but removing brings up "black places" instead of grass... So I will contact Aerosoft, of course very politely ;-) ... Lars
