What flight planners can build and load PMDG 737NGX

Featured Replies

I am interested in finding out which flight planners can build and load a flight plan into the FMC of the PMDG 737 FMS.

Thanks,

Jim

It's probably easier to list the ones that cant, and I cant think of any, certainly not any that are worth bothering with anyway. To be honest the only flight planner I would recommend now is PFPX and that most certainly can load FP's into the NGX.

Cheers, Andy.

fsbuild is not bad ...

i7 4777k 4.6mhz, 32gddr3, GTX 760 4g sci ,Saitek x52,yoke and quadrant, 60 Led . SSD

FSBuild is ancient, ugly and a million miles away from being user friendly though. In its day it was awsome, but that day has long since passed in my opinion.

Cheers, Andy.

To be honest when I use a tool I take simbiref. I think it has not many features like PFPX but it is free and works amazing for fuelplanning and so on. I would say take a look to it and give it a chance. http://www.simbrief.com/

But have to say, when price for PFPX would be bit lower would take it :-D

Forgot to add: This tool is not able to export the flightplan to any aircraft but you can prefile your FP for Vatsim what is great, however there is a alternative you can put your FP into http://www.simroutes.com and export it from there.

EDIT: I have just seen they have updated the Site and your are able now to download your FP for PMDG and also all weather files, guess for the trible seven.

Cheers!

SIMBRIEF "requires" Navigraph (monthly) Navdata subscription also ... and does not support Aerosoft's NavdataPlus ...correct?

Yes, but you have not to update the database every month. I use the 1113 and did not get any poblem yet. It seems to me that simbrief does not support Aerosoft Navdata.

All... If you use Mk I Fingers for data entry. :-)

Good news, I found even out that AIRACS for simbrief are for free, you have to download on navigraphs page simbrief update and you will find your activation key in the textfile. Did not know that but it is great!

I was wondering how long the "activation key" to download current cycle airacs is good for?

I would assume it would expire when your Navigraph subscription expires?

In other words, if you have purchased Navigraph for only one cycle then Simbrief would only have a Navigraph activation key for one cycle?

  • 1 year later...

Hi ya'll

I see this is a older thread but need some insight!

So I fly the T7 from flight factor on x-plane, use simbrief flight planner and have navigraph full year airac subscription for that.

I wanted the 737ngx because no one offers one for x-plane so now I'm going to get FSX gold.

?

Does the FSX/pmdg 737 have auto import for the flight plans with the sids/stars options configureable by me as needed?

Or do you have to manually input the route?

You can load a route through the CDU, but you'll need to add the SID/STAR back in after it's loaded (this is intentional on PMDG's part).

Also: This part of the forum requires people to use their real names as signatures.

Very well thanks

PS-My Signature will take care of name from now on!

Hey there

Aivlasoft EFB is my favourite flight planning software. Many videos on YouTube bit pricey but worth every cent in my opinion and you can link it straight to the fmc
