December 7, 200421 yr Very, very nice! Lennart is a real artist, can't wait to try them. I guess freeware isn't dead after all. ;)
December 7, 200421 yr This work is indeed nothing short of stunning and Freeware too. You really do have to say BIG thanks to ALL these guys. I'm left in awe at the hours of work that go in to any addon.Well done indeed Lennart !!!Happy Flyin One 'n' All !!Eddy :-sun1
December 7, 200421 yr As someone who lives in Sweden and frequently visits Norway, I have to say that those textures look far more realistic for this type of landscape than the default and any replacement textures I've seen before. -
December 7, 200421 yr Commercial Member Hi, Yup since near august the screenshots have been released, I email Lennart few time about these for the release date. With any doubt, the best freeware ground texture, easly can be payware.ThanksChris Willis[link:fsw.simflight.com/FSWMenuFsSim.html]Clouds And Addons For MsFs Kind RegardsChris Willis
December 7, 200421 yr Very nice but I may have hard time to dump my Blue Sphere textures. I just prefer slightly hazy-bluish tint (and Blue Sphere is superbly subtle here) that gives me believable appearance of how ground looks to a pilot form altitude.Michael J.WinXP-Home SP2,AMD64 3500+,Abit AV8,Radeon X800Pro,36GB Raptor,1GB PC3200,Audigy 2 Michael J.
December 8, 200421 yr Have you tried using a lower visiblity setting inside FS? This also gives the textures a haze-blue tint. -
December 8, 200421 yr >Have you tried using a lower visiblity setting inside FS?>This also gives the textures a haze-blue tint.Yes, I tried but that is not the same thing. If I look straight down from 15,000 ft I should already see some hazing no matter what visibility.Michael J.WinXP-Home SP2,AMD64 3500+,Abit AV8,Radeon X800Pro,36GB Raptor,1GB PC3200,Audigy 2 Michael J.
December 8, 200421 yr If only Norway and sweeden is covered....I'm happy LOL (joke)I think it generic replacement textures for Europe.I might be wrong here....Johnny"I'LL BE BACK"[div align=center]http://www.avsim.com/hangar/fly/josve/zone.jpg ][/div
December 9, 200421 yr If it is generic textures, why can't we use it for the rest of the world? Except the desert ofcouse.
December 9, 200421 yr Commercial Member Howdy, actually: if anything, people will have difficulties keeping thoise textures out of regions of the planet where they don't look realistic. That is because FS9 splits the world into ten broad regions for the display of landclass (land use) textures but currently doesn't provide, nor allows for, complete sets of textures for each region. For example, Europe is its own region but has only six distinct landclass textures. All the remaining textures one encounters in Europe (several dozen) are used from the "base" textures set, which is Region B "North America". Since Lennart is working on providing replacement textures for all of northern Europe, many of these textures will also appear in southern Europe, Africa, North and South America, and elsewhere. This may lead to strange juxtapositions of default and Lennart's textures but I'm sure he's carefully testing the overall effect of his great gift.Cheers, Holger
December 9, 200421 yr Jeesus. I thought they where from real life for a while the flightsim.no pictures.
