I haven't really had the time yet to really try it out. So far I am liking what I see. Absolutely love the in-built checklists. This feels like a complicated bird. I've spent a couple of hours on the ground and made two take offs with some A/P and manual flying. No landings yet. Have to sleep, darned thing called work...;-p

I might have come across a couple of issues, though. Will get back to you about those when I've done some more testing, might just be myself messing stuff up.

Hi Richard, I'm interested too. I usually fly with NGX and MD11 on FSX, because XP10 hasn't good and quality liners and I don't like 777.

Does FMC use Navigraph navdata to update AIRAC?

I watched atomicfrawg do a flight or two in this 757 on twitch.tv today. With the help of quite a few co-pilots (   ) he managed to complete a flight in Florida. Very enjoyable - cockpit a little dark, but the detail is fantastic. Seems to get off the ground and back down again relatively easily!

Actually it was Texas (KIAH) to New Orleans LA. (KMSY).

Ok ladies and gents..

I've now had the time to make a complete flight. Or TRY to make a complete flight that is - more about this later on.

It was a nice 1500(ish) NM flight taking off from LEMD with the destination being ESSA. Everything went just fine. I used the built- in checklists and managed to get the plane started. Having used other Boeing aircraft such as the PMDG 737/747/777 and FF 777 I am quite used to the FMS. Setting it up for the trip was a breeze. Taking off was really nice. It went nice and straight down the runway and lifted off nicely. There were next to no winds at all so the plane felt really nice and stable. A joy to hand-fly. I hand-flew it to about 10' feet before engaging LNAV/VNAV. It followed the flight plan perfectly fine. Turning is nice and smooth with no loss/gain of altitude. I was a happy camper at this point. I like the sounds and the systems seem deep and nice (got a warning about low hydraulics fluid as I went along) although I'm no 757 pilot. I'm no pilot what-so-ever actually (even though I plan to change this, aiming for a PPL as soon as possible - this darn flight sim hobby will be the ruin of me).

As I went along I read in the manual about the hyd fluid warning and seeing it was more of an advisory warning I leaned back in my chair and enjoyed the flight, seemed like I didn't have to plan for an emergency landing. Time went by, and then it happens. All of the sudden, I can't get to the checklists and text disappears from the center display. This happened to me yesterday also while sitting on the ground just trying to wrap my brain around the procedures. I thought nothing of it at that point. However now I had to get to the bottom of it. At the ORG there is a thread about this issue. Seems quite common. And it seems it's some kind of protection scheme within SASL thinking there is foul play. Quite annoyed at this point.

I like this aircraft. However needless to say; do not buy until this is properly fixed.

Sounds like what happened to Atomicfrawgs stream last night. The plugin crashed.

Thanks

Yes, probably. I'm getting more and more annoyed by this. If you are going to implement som kind of copy-protection scheme make real sure it doesn't mess up things for those of us that has forked out the cash.

A plugin doesn't necessarily imply copy protection. It's used to drive the complex systems of the aircraft tht are not built into X-Plane itself. An example would be the FMC. No different then DLL files used in FSX. It probably is just a bug. I would report it to FF so they can identify the cause.

Thanks
