December 1, 201312 yr Did PMDG fix the error with the registration plate in the vc not having selcal? The PMDG livery has kept the registration plate without the selcal. Christian's version has a selcal plate and the gray of engines and bottom is more the Lufthansa pigeon gray type (light blue gray). Guessing from fotos it is though more a neutral gray. On the other hand PMDG's "keel line" of the gray bottom and the "Lufthansa Cargo" lettering are placed lower than on the original... What both versions are actually missing is the chrome like leading edge of the wings: http://www.planespotters.net/Aviation_Photos/photo.show?id=422138 As always it is very "funny" that the standard airline configurations for an european airline are set to LBS instead of KG(?). (Sometimes even °F instead of °C. That makes no sense, especially when the livery is marked as "accurate and verified aircraft configuration"...) Here are three screenshots I've made: PMDG's: Christian's: Christian's SELCAL: Thanks PMDG and Christian for the updates! It is really great to have all that extras... Claus Claus KUEPPER
December 1, 201312 yr Hi Christian, I only ant to say, that your licery are the best! Thank´s a lot Roland
December 1, 201312 yr I prefer dropbox in the meantime which makes it much easier to upload a tiny fix for me or a new repaint. Am a bit bored by the process AVSIM's library needs each time and you can't even manage your files on your own. Christian, thanks for your reply. I have a higher speed connection at work so I will give that a try. Mike
December 2, 201312 yr Hi Christian, where I can find the new -ALFB- LH Cargo. In the dropbox there is only the -ALFA-? Roland
December 2, 201312 yr Hello, yesterday "my" LH T7F D-ALFA (original PMDG livery) was - after confirming so - automatically updated via the "PMDG Operations Center" program. I had not much time to check the details so far. But e.g. the given name "Good Day, USA" was added under the "Boeing 777 Freighter" lettering. BTW: D-ALFB is "Jambo, Kenya" and D-ALFC will/might be "Ni Hao, China" Always happy landings, Claus Hello Claus, thanks for the update on the names and your comparison. I am still keen to know if they'll chinese titles to FOXTROTT CHARLIE. But we all have to wait till the aircraft rolls out (I guess next year). Regarding the grey colour, this is one of hardest colours to get done correctly but from the source I used it should match quite good and atleast it does on my screen and from the Lufthansa images I am used to. By the way, I spot a few more items which differ from the official Lufthansa Cargo repaint. But I don't want to start any more comparisions or state that my repaint is perfect, which it probably isn't. I'll have to check a few images of the leading edge flaps and the paint kit tetxures. Maybe the chrome and shiny parts can reproduced. Hi Christian, I only ant to say, that your licery are the best! Thank´s a lot Roland Whow, thanks a lot. I feel a bit ashamed. Hi Christian, where I can find the new -ALFB- LH Cargo. In the dropbox there is only the -ALFA-? Roland Roland, I haven't uploaded FOXTROTT BRAVO yet, it's almost finished but I am only missing the SELCAL. I was told that the chances are quite good to get it by the end of the week. Pressing thumbs. Christian Mohr
December 2, 201312 yr I'll have to check a few images of the leading edge flaps and the paint kit tetxures. Maybe the chrome and shiny parts can reproduced. Hi Christian! I just noticed, taking a look again on that foto, http://www.planespotters.net/Aviation_Photos/photo.show?id=422138 that the leading edge of the tail fin also has this highly reflective chrome look. PMDG's 737-800 American Airlines livery for N807NN has this effect all over. I don't know how this shininess/glossiness is done, but I am shure YOU do! ^_^ Claus KUEPPER
December 4, 201312 yr Hi Christian! ^_^ Claus, I had a look at a few other pictures and I am not too certain that those leading edges have chrome look resp. differ much from PMDGs base paintkit. The image of D-ALFA in the hangar might be a bit misleading due to the spotlights shining from the roof. Maybe a few close up images taken on the outside without too much sun give a better view on those leading edges and their chromatic look. Christian Mohr
December 5, 201312 yr Hi Christian, I readed in the AeroLogic Post, that there are other Repaints from you for other Aircraft? Is this real and witch kind of aircraft are this. If possible with aour download links Thanks Roland
December 5, 201312 yr Hey, because i would like to fly the new Lufthansa Cargo 777F i have this request for the repainters out there. The default one by PMDG is far away from what the real livery looks like! :( (It actually can't be acurate because it was made even before the real aircraft was delivered...) Just as an example the letters "Lufthansa Cargo" are not in the right position and the name of the plane is missing ("Good Day, USA"). Also the colors of the livery aren't that acurate. I know there are some great repainters out there and a good looking livery is missing (searched here at avsim and other flightsimulation-filesharing websites). I hope that can be changed! Paul Ziegler I also noticed PMDG updated the Lufthansa a few weeks after the real aircraft was delivered. PMDG Ops Center tells you when liveries are updated, which is a nice feature. LUIS LINARES Processor: Intel Core i9 6700K 9900K (5.0 GHz Turbo) Eight Core; CPU Cooling: NXXT Kraken X62 280mm CPU Liquid Cooler; System Memory: 64GB Corsair DDR4 SDRAM @ 3200 MHz, RGB; Graphics Processor: 11GB Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Ti, GDDR6, Primary Drive: 2TB Samsung 850 Pro Solid State Drive (SSD)
December 5, 201312 yr Author I also noticed PMDG updated the Lufthansa a few weeks after the real aircraft was delivered. PMDG Ops Center tells you when liveries are updated, which is a nice feature. Yeah they updated the Livery now, but at the time i started the topic it wasn't updated. Anyway as you can see on the nice screenshots by Claus above the PMDG Livery still isn't correct. I just want to thank you Christian for this great work (i marked it now as the best answer, because it really is the greatest out there)! Paul Ziegler
December 7, 201312 yr Hello Claus, thanks for the update on the names and your comparison. I am still keen to know if they'll chinese titles to FOXTROTT CHARLIE. December 7, 201312 yr Hi Christian, I readed in the AeroLogic Post, that there are other Repaints from you for other Aircraft? Is this real and witch kind of aircraft are this. If possible with aour download links Thanks Roland Roland, you can the newest and most updated versions of my repaint from my dropbox folder or older versions from AVSIM'S file library. I have done repaints for PMDG's 737NGX, 777LR/F and Majestic's Dash 8-Q400. PMDG 737NGX: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/ppigbvua6ssbfn9/d2Qa835j26 Complete Norwegian Air Shuttle 737-800 fleet: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/c77oj9jl97rthqc/SfbcQZ-A1- PMDG 777LR/F: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/50ziykj8oqivpvh/sFmDVNRyB1 Majestic Dash 8-Q400: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/2623qoqos9d0x8q/DXsydsDh31 In some cases I am using FSX's texture fallback system in order to reduce the file size. This means that you need the base file for an airline (the PTP files without a number after the airline designator). An example: if you want to use PMDG_737NGX_800WL_ASA2.ptp, you also need PMDG_737NGX_800WL_ASA.ptp. It's a bit confusing but saves disk space if repaints have a common texture. Paul Ziegler Paul, thank you very much. I am feeling quite honoured. Hello Christian, The SELCAL code of D-ALFB it's DLHM Hope to see it soon Best Regards, AR, SELCAL has been added and repaint uploaded. Jambo Kenya! Christian Mohr
December 7, 201312 yr Is D-ALFB flying now? I believe they are using it EDDF-CYYZ (wish FSX had a good CYYZ scenery) Thanks for those links. ps, you have a rogue 777f listed in the ngx section.
December 8, 201312 yr I have done repaints for PMDG's 737NGX, 777LR/F and Majestic's Dash 8-Q400. Christian, thank you very much for all the liveries and the variety! These three aircrafts are all my absolute favorites. Thanks for all the T7 freighters! ^_^ (A bit off-topic:) And especially thanks for the many NGXs from Ryanair, as I fly their scheduled routes (in sync with UT2) very often, as they deliver a very broad diversity of relatively short routes with "funny" stopovers. As you offer so many models, I have a good chance to find a nice "real flight of the day" on e.g. dataflight24 via your RYR NGX's callsigns. Those fligths I like to "post imitate" to see under which conditions the crew had to fly a particular flight... Thanks again (from a long-term fan), Claus Claus KUEPPER
December 14, 201312 yr Does anyone have a realistic airline config options file for Lufthansa Cargo now that we have 2 beautiful repaints for their fleet? I noticed in watching a few videos that Lufthansa did not actually order theirs with angle of attack indicators even though everyones repaint has that config option enabled. They also enabled F instead of C and have passenger signs enabled. So anyone have inside info and can tell us simmers who like realism what options GEC ordered? Do they use rising runways for example?
