December 19, 201312 yr I have flown a few flights now and I am impressed. I do have one question though. I am starting to get OOM crashes that I never had before. The only change to the system configuration is the installation of ASN. I have always flown with 90 nm draw distance on before installation. In ASN I have 90 as the min and 120 as the max draw distance. I noticed that ASN sits in it's own VAS space but I am wondering how much of impact on VAS the new cloud drawing is having? I am trying to narrow things down. I guess the question is; what is the impact on the virtual memory with ASN running with default settings? I have tried, 3 times now, to fly from Kansas to Dallas Love field in Texas, an hour and a half flight and I start getting the Ding of Doom on short final at KDAL. I have flown 3 hour flights over heavy photo scenery in the past without a problem but now I can't even finish this short flight. I am going to fly it again today WITHOUT ASN running to see if the Ding of Doom catches me again on final. December 19, 201312 yr I have had the ASN trial version for 2 days now, btw. thanx for that Active Sky! other devs should follow your example...but I guess they don't have the balls for that  This is the best depicting & most realistic weather engine I've tested so far, finally I had a trouble free flight on Vatsim, which I've never had with Rex (always something wrong!), only that stress relive is worth the buying:) As for realism I find the turbulence(have it at 70%) down & updrafts quite realistic & fun:) Kind regardsR.G
December 19, 201312 yr On final, @flaps40, my IAS was jumping like crazy back and forth from 147 kts to 190 kts I have also noticed this recently. On the last few flights I have done for some reason on approach the plane actually ends up going faster even though I have the speeds set to be much slower at the normal landing speed making it basically impossible to land properly even though I landed at like 185 knots or something around there. I am not sure if it's something I am doing that is causing the plane to be to fast but it seems like on approach since I got ASN the NGX just won't slow down even with it programmed to be at the correct landing speed. Also in my most recent flight I started to get a bunch of what I could only guess is called cloud flicker. Like looking down around mountains the edges of the clouds and the clouds themselves seemed to be shaking and flickering a bunch. This appeared to be most prevalent around mountains but I also saw it on the ground at KSJC where a portion of the sky seemed to be flickering around.

May 7, 201412 yr That's post editing effects (Sony Vegas), not in game FSX! ohhhh i see, thx for the info i was getting crazy trying to modify my as lol but thx guys, i hope fsx have this feature.
January 9, 201511 yr those IS changes depends on the sensetive aircraft such as pmdg and aerosoft and how the can handle it. in my opinion 70 is a too high setting with turbulence and ASN. up and downdrafts too but i have to check this out.
