December 12, 201312 yr I know of RealityXP - but are there any other options to explore, either freeware or payware? I'm dying for realistic GPS navigation in my Carenado birds. David Garrison
December 12, 201312 yr You should take a look at the following: http://flythissim.com/store.html It's written only for X-Plane. I use the Avidyne systems for GPS navigation and it's just beautiful. Here's the best part: All of those gauges can run on a separate system and can be configured to only run1, 2 or X gauges on a separate system. The panels are highly configurable and aren't aircraft-specific. It just looks at the X-Plane data and uses it, making it compatible with pretty much every aircraft. (The software can run in trial mode so you can validate your requirements before purchase.) Here's my Fixed-Base simulator using the Avidyne stuff: http://www.anthonyscottphotography.com/b200/h57cca794#h57cca794 If FlyThisSim.com isn't what you're looking for, you might also want to look at ForeFlight for the iPad/iPhone. Pretty slick stuff going on there. Ray S. Check out my aviation portfolio: http://scottshangar.net
December 14, 201312 yr There's also the KLN90B. I never used it, and it requires some detailed steps to be integrated into different aircraft models, but I have read good comments about the way it performs. The An-24 is about to get an upgrade that already includes the 3D version of the KLN 90B integrated in it's complex cockpit! http://www.eadt.eu/index.php?kln90b Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)
December 14, 201312 yr Author http://www.eadt.eu/index.php?kln90b - the KLN90B is a great little GPS! A bit antique compared to what's out there now GPS wise, but it does the job perfectly for me! Thanks JComm! David Garrison
