April 26, 201412 yr PMDG 737 and 747 FS2004 work fine in Windows 8. Level D does not work in Windows 8 much to my disappointed. Have repeatedly tried FSX and cannot stand it even on my high end computer. Am staying FS9 and when addons run out I guess they have just lost my business. Hope this helps. So does QW 757 work with Win8 or not guys? Ed Ryan

So does QW 757 work with Win8 or not guys? Ed Ryan Hey Ed. I started this quite a while ago xD Anyway, I got the CS757 and it runs really well. It runs at around 40 fps at JFK, but when I'm in the sky, my framerate fluctuates between 8 and 22 fps... which is really weird. I"m not so sure about the QW757 though. April 28, 201412 yr Just a comment: WOAI is just a collection/bundle of others' work: flightplans and repaints. I never use them, as I prefer to manually manage my AI world. Ghiom
April 28, 201412 yr I'm a WOAI fan, so find your comment "interesting". What, do you make your own AI models, paint them, and create flight plans for them? WOAI is rather more than being "just" a collection, it populates my entire simulator world...
April 28, 201412 yr I rather think that Ghiom inserts existing or selfmade repaints and compiles flight plans from given text files himself into his system of planes and plans. --- So do I. Although being a huge effort, the WOAI file and folder structure doesn't fit everybody's preferences. Harald Geyer Gründer der Messerschmitt Freunde Dresden v. V.
April 28, 201412 yr I'd be interested in an example... as well as being a WOAI fan, I'm intrinsically lazy. To me this sounds like re-inventing the wheel!
April 28, 201412 yr I began my AI upgrading efforts many years ago with some rather exotic Georgian, Kazakh, Russian, Tajik... airlines mostly not having a WOAI package. So with the time I set up folders for the planes and compiled one traffic.bgl file each for commercial, GA-, military and heli traffic. If I remind correctly, my first dedicated AI plane was AIA's 737-400 for an Airzena repaint from around 2005 or 2006 - it must have been there before the Avsim hack! Now a WOAI installer containing the 734 would place me another folder for the plane, and this alone disturbed my order very much. Now come RATS packages with their dedicated installer for Russian airlines, many of them containing the same AIA models, too, but with their own file system... Remember I'm a German... I'm even disturbed by coexisting AIA and FAIB models! Not to forget that WOAI places a traffic...bgl file for every airline, which would give hundreds of files, while I prefer to have the handful of TTools source files for my four traffic...bgl files with me on an USB stick to be able to edit them whenever I want. Of course I used WOAI packages - which I want to speak bad about in no way - for some repaints I could find nowhere else; but I decompiled them manually and brought them into my system then. Maybe I have invented the wheel for the second time, as you write, but I'm lucky with it. Regards, Harald Harald Geyer Gründer der Messerschmitt Freunde Dresden v. V.
April 28, 201412 yr As far as I know, WOAI produces neither the model, nor the repaint, nor the flightplans. They collect them from respective authors and package them together. Thing is they always come late after all pieces have been produced. So I pass...
April 28, 201412 yr ghiom, so you are PRE-inventing the wheel! As mentioned, being lazy, I am more than happy to wait for someone else to kindly collate all those models, paints, and flightplans, and wrap them in a one-click installer for me Harald, I suspected that you would be creating stuff not catered for by WOAI... and that you are ORGANISED. I take the other tack: if I'm not happy with the traffic I see, I just hack into the WOAI aircraft file and put in what I want. I had BAW A380's flying well before they actually arrived at Heathrow, for example. By the same token Concorde plies the Atlantic in my sim. I also add RATS and any other traffic to a specific airport of interest, no matter that the models exist in WOAI folders. In fact, these days that is the only basis for adding any AI: what flies into the airport I have just installed. This enormous rats' nest of files and folders is saved from catastrophe by AI's other true friend: ACA2005 (which for some reason, doesn't seem to be all that popular. My sim would not function at all, without it). And I think my computer loads faster by dealing with small traffic files, specific to a location. (but I'm not prepared to defend this allegation...)
April 28, 201412 yr And I think my computer loads faster by dealing with small traffic files, specific to a location. (but I'm not prepared to defend this allegation...) This may be an argument, indeed. Although, I always meant that the dividing into sectors when compiling the traffic.bgl with TTools did the same... April 28, 201412 yr For the people discussing the CS757 and frame rates; The CS757 was shipped / sold with some bad textures. Improper format or missing / improperly flagged alpha channel. Correcting those flawed textures will help the frame rate issues some. More on some computers than others of course. I gained about 5 FPS when I fixed mine. I hope this is of some use. Regards, Mel
