Just a thought , what kind of weather modelling is that ? if for simulation than you could also try it with FG.

Hiflyer wth? Are you running a nasa supercomputer?

Incredible shot, how do you get more than 3 fps?

In awe!

Can I ask X planers for a favor ?  As I have decided that I am going to  X Ping. Just want some screenshots of Netherlands - EHAM- and Bravo Victor and  Frankfurt areas with HD Mesh 2 and some photo scenery from simheaven (that is only if you have it and do not need to download just for a screeny).

I ask as I only fly in Europe under vatsim as my country (India) does not have any good scenery / traffic and vatsim Atc is hardly online.

Thanks.

near EHAM with level 17 orthophoto HD mesh and OSM from Simheaven:

Ty, but in fact my computer isn't that special. The Cpu is an I7 920 clocked at 4ghz and the Graphics card is A GTX 770

What I did do is play with all the settings in just about every combo I could find (lots of shutting down and starting up the sim) trying to locate which things affected frame-rates the most. I found that AA doesn't have nearly the impact that road traffic does on my system. Apparently road traffic eats Cpu time like Pac man eating dots.

You can lose ten frames or even more with it so I have it just above none. I also don't use HDR at this time and shadows are off. Water stays at default and I avoid live weather, which also eats frames much more than presets.

Nicks Nvidia inspector AA settings for FSX also seem to get good frames In XPX while helping a lot with non-hdr jaggies.

don't tend to use God-rays with Skymaxx Pro, but the other settings are nearly maxed.

That's just about it, because like I said, if I could get Ny running well, what more could the sim do to me? God knows what could be done with a 780 or a Titan!

Going crazy and trying it with melt your GPU shadow settings.  :P

Sorry FSX fans.  I have flown FSX and its ancestors many years, but have never seen this!  This transferred too dark,  let me try again...

Hopefully, this second picture will be a little lighter.  This with HDR and pretty much everything else on.

Be sure to click on the pictures to see the full image.  This is taken just east of Manhatten...  the Bronx?

Yeah, HDR is nice but I just can't take all the crazed shimmering, or the FPS hit to reduce it to tolerable levels. :-/

This topic is turning in one of the best FSX killer. The dutch screens are amazing, the last one by Old_As_Dirt even better. Now if only the ring bell brought me my late Santa 770 gifts...  ^_^

Hey the screenshot right at the top, why is the texture dark ? shouldn't it be lighter in shade ?

The ones for Netherlands looks exactly like NL2000.
