I was just curious if anyone knows of upcoming releases of payware or freeware planes or scenery?I know of 2 upcoming releases1. LGAV greece scenery (freeware)http://www.avsim.com/greece/scenery/index_main.htm the web site says Dec 2004 for a release date, but that obviously has pasted.2. PC3 Orion (freeware) http://flightinfo.ens.ne.jp/FS_KBT/d_y_a.htm Last I heard this plane was in beta testingAnyone know of other upcoming releases??

Most people who are in the know of things before a press release is made announcing the product will not be allowed to talk about it.Yes, I know of one or two but I am indeed under an NDA for them. What I can tell is that Richard Goldstein is working on the next installment of the Georender series.Visit http://www.fsaddon.com (sorry Tom, I know you don't like them much) for more details as well as all of Richard's products since he left Lago.

I think that most flightsimmers are currently in church/moshee/synagogue/temple, praying that LevelD Sim will be a worthy successor to PIC 767.ricardo

The two add-ons I'm looking forward to most are FSD's Cessna 337 and Aeroworx's AT-6 Texan.

Just as a matter of interest, why does the computer software industry have to be so secretive about new releases? Is it because they fear their ideas might be pinched by rivals or is it because they fear that any pre publicity may create a higher level of expectation in the product than can actually be justified and that this will rebound on them in poor sales?

Both are factors. What's also a very big factor is the chance of a project failing to come to fruition.Once you announce you're going to do something you look pretty bad if you later have to say "sorry, but we couldn't make it happen".So upcoming releases are typically not announced until they're at a stage far along in development where it's (almost) certain the product will indeed see the light of day.The constant whining "when will it be ready", "I heard you promised it for last week, you're a bunch of luzers because it's not ready yet", "I MUST have this NOW", etc. etc. also play a part which is really grinding away at a developer's patience when he's working to complete something.

I'm looking forward to Dreamfleet's A36 Beech Bonanza...

Correct if me if I'm wrong, but I seem to remember mention of a 737-200, 767, 777, and a 747-400 that are in the pipeline. Anyone know the companies behind these, if in fact they've been announced. Thx!billg

Thx Jim. I see that PMDG also has an MD-11 on the way. :-)billg

I'm waiting for Oleksiy Frolov's Dash 8 to come out. Been waiting for this one for a long time.

MegaScenery Pacific Northwest just went gold and is set to ship near the end of January.

I'm not kneeling in a religious facility praying for *any* big iron offering, but I *am* anxious to get my hands on Eaglesoft's announced series of Cirrus SR20/22/V GA airplanes. There is no release date (which is as it should be), and I'm sure it will be a few months before the project is done. But I predict that will be a solid offering for GA fans, given their work on the Citation X/etc.Details are here:http://eaglesoftdg.com/forum/viewforum.php...c7e52da3d34cb37Dave Blevins
