Carenado's B58 Baron (N8UR)

Example. The gold metallic on the wings here is echoed on the alpha channel.

Just downloaded it and it looks great.  The B58 is still one of my favorite planes.  Any other paint jobs you are willing to do on the 58 are more than welcome.  Not to make your head swell, but I have always found your repaints amoung the best.

Thanks and Happy Flying!   (and happy repainting)

Wow it's dang gorgeous!  Totally stunning Ron.  The gold swashes really give it a flow and make it look like it's doing 180 knots when it's parked.

I have a portover Veneaviones TurboCommander in a similar scheme.  Don't supposed you could be persuaded to do one for the lovely MilViz B55 Baron?

Thanks once again chaps. Metallic? Too much faffing for my liking. Already there is a lot of work in this a/c with 6 texture sheets!

UK paint? I have one I'll be doing, G-BLKY. Also a Canadian flight school plane of Senaca College.

Milviz B55? After doing three of them, I'm all Milvized out! 8 sheets on that one. My head, my head!

Same here. Carenado don't help much either. Excellent paint at any rate.

I so wanted to have a moan about Carenado. The guessing games you have to play! Still, keeps a brain active eh?

Hey Ron, would you mind me using this repaint in the Baron TC 2.0 project? My hands are kinda full with the damage mod and sound update to then start another repaint.

You'll be credited of course.

I don't know what the Baron TC2.0 project is but if you're going to say how bloody marvellous I am, then go ahead.

Lol my apologies, you know we love you Ron

Metallic:

The way Ive been doing it;

using layers, I create a "spackle" with whatever the color of the metallic is supposed to be. This should be the "top" layer, or last paint you lay down.

Isolate this layer, and turn it "negative". This will turn all the spackles black. Add this now negative layer to the "alpha" channel, and combine.

Wha-la... Metalic paint.

Thanks much I will try this.

LOL, thanks. Baron TC 1.0 is in the lib; http://library.avsim.net/download.php?DLID=178427

2.0 will have damage/ware and tear and maintenance.
