And though I entitled the thread as such, please do not think I for one am having an ounce less fun because of an EULA or the premise of training.

Perhaps you want to change your thread title, as it stands, it will invite the endless (and I tend to agree pointless) EULA discussion #23,005,213.

EULA... isn't that the sound the Martians made in Jeff Wayne's musical version of 'The War Of The Worlds' ? :P

So, anyone else bored waiting for the patch? [seems like it]... not keen to fly until it arrives for some reason.

Maybe I'll go and listen to TWOTW... its great if you've not heard it

Not again an EULA discussion. Let's fly instead of useless talking about EULA's.

Not me, I keep posting new videos almost every night ... how can you be bored when there is a Globe to explore, different aircraft to fly, islands to visit, different weather conditions to build, water textures, cloud textures, runway textures, or just cruising around on taxi with the some amazing 3rd party airports and local areas, practice difficult landings ... so much to try with or without the patch.

... so much to try with or without the patch.

You're right, of course... I think I suffer from some sort of flight sim bio-rhythm, and I'm on a down after a few weeks of a great high [i've been doing all you list, with great relish]. I think/hope the patch will bring some excitement, and if the issues are fixed – which I'm sure they will be – I can add my UK2000 airfields, and finish my UK install.

I just want to make sure everything is working properly before giving it my full commitment, even though I've had relatively few issues.

I have all the UK2000 airfields also and many UK larger airports that I haven't tried to install to P3DV2 yet ... BUT, after installing Thessaloniki and seeing what can be done when targeting P3DV2 (aka not just compatible with), I may not install any of my older airports that aren't designed for P3DV2.  I don't know how they (Emilios and crew) pulled off Thessaloniki to be so low on VAS and so good on frame rates, but if that's the future for P3DV2 then it's going to be difficult to go back to older airports that have a huge VAS hit and low frame rates.

I'm hoping that over time all the really nice airports I had in FSX will eventually be updated (I'm willing to pay for it) to P3DV2 spec (beyond just compatible with) -- this isn't an LM task so I can only hope.  My fear is that all those older UK airports aren't updated because the developers don't feel they could recover the cost to do so -- meaning can't charge existing users for the update.

The MFTA looks pretty cool.

Interesting, Gerry.  I saw that when you first posted it, then couldn't find it again.  I thought it had been deleted, which I couldn't understand given how important it is.  Turns out it was promoted to a sticky.  Looks like it all just happened quietly in the background with no fanfare.

Larry, read the last post in that "sticky thread" and you will see who locked it and made it a stinky er, sticky... He%20He.gif

I did, Bill, and thanks!  I was referring to the changes made to the E* being done quietly.  Now if they'd just update the rest of their site.

More importantly, Prepar3d v2.0 "Not for Entertainment" no longer applies - I'd thought was a significant change!

EDIT: The EULA is the sole agreement. Anything else on website's is irrelevant.

Who would understand those terms best other than LM? So what they do and how they embrace the fsx community is key to that interpretation. By making an effort to retain backward compatability and so forth at the least shows that they mean not to distance us.

And as for the "missing" term, it was pointless anyway...and probably confused more than anything. LM's goal is training and that's their effort but the see value in the customer base. So to choose formerly Fsx as the base highlights some other things to discuss other than the EULA. Like... How about P3D running on 12 screens...(see link LM's site in 1st post).. Glass cockpits, and Hotas etc. That forecasts something as to how P3d will be developed.

That's what I'm curious about. Let's not forget that if your system meets the minimum spec to run P3D, you are already thousands of dollars vested in your Sim platform. How that can be improved is directly related to the topic.

Why people play stupid? All know what is happening, why LM ask not for proof to buy right license when order is place, you really qualify? Why LM have not verification system when you buy, you know why, why play stupid?
