OP, they haven't given much, but we do know it's on the way and is supposedly using 777-style technology (in terms of graphics and features, that is) and will surely be awesome.

You certainly missed my point, if one, as a developer, begins to advertise and it stretches out over YEARS, as a marketer you screwed the pooch. Start the hype when it is close to being finished, then deliver. I love what PMDG does as a developer, however their marketing leaves a bit to be desired for.

Right... still whatever they do 99% of people who bought 747 V1 will buy 747 V2 and nothing will change this fact. PMDG and all other developers of addons are aware of the fact that this sim is the only thing which is reliable currently and chosen by most of simmers + there is nothing with hope on the horizon (P3DV2 VAS & pricing policy - gimme a break...). 

 

I prefer them to have service packs than to behave like CaptainSim who releases broken planes one after another and before they manage to fix first they are already releasing second and hyping up third. And for lately released 777 by PMDG I did not find any gamebreakers so SP is needed but you can live without it for now. 

 

But that all does not matter - their marketing, their choice, we also have a choice so who wants to buy it will buy it who doesn't want to will not. As usual. 

Well, so far I haven't found better B744s, MD11s and B777s to buy than theirs ...

There aircraft are the best, there support is top class. There time frames and hints are pitiful

 

Why make a post saying "hopefully" beta started next Monday? did it? NO. Why not just give a update and when...when its in beta tell us, "it's now in beta". There where huge "hints" it was going into beta months ago..../sigh. like a SS on there facebook 24th dec showing the new 300 with "Gear up on this Boeing 777-3B5/ER!!"

Whether they give constant updates or none people will complain. They give updates when they have info. Do you want to hear the same update every day? You are already pointing out they missed their date.All dates are stritcly estimates and say so in the threads. A estimated date that if you read the thread it's in, an update was given by Robert that he found a issue and it wouldn't make it Monday. Da**** if they do and da**** if they don't

I was just thinking about peoples estimates on what year these upcoming pmdg products will come out and if you compare these estimates (that arent 100% accurate but still reasonable) to the lifespan of fsx this whole thing could go in a different direction. Microsoft are doing their best to shut down fsx and more and more people are switching sims such as x plane so if you think about it by the time 2016 comes around we could all be in a completely different situation. Just a thought :)

It's why i stay away from the PMDG forums.I personally can't stand kyles attitude.full of self importance.and for every good deed he does ,he causes 10x more arguments and bad feeling.it's very much a pack mentality over there,ask a question thats been asked before and 10 people will jump on you .

as i've said before if you don't like the question ..Stay out of the post.

So funny reading your reply.....who said anything about everyday, blowing things out of all reasonable thinking. Once a month I think would be nice.
