PA28 for P3Dv2

Featured Replies

Hi Folks,

First post, hi :)

I've started my PPL training in a PA28 Warrior and was wondering if anyone could recommend a PA28 that works with P3Dv2?

There is mention on the compatibility list that the Carenado FSX product doesn't work?

Thanks,

Stew

This one was released 21 February and claim to be compatible. I haven't tried it but I will be interested to test it if there is good feedback from others users.

Other than this one, there is the Carenado one and a very old model done by Austrian Simulation that I own (it failed to work correctly also in p3d). I remember that there is another one available part of the Flying club suite from Just Flight but I don't own this one so I cannot comment on compatibility of this one.

Great aircraft to fly in RW. Have fun with your PPL. I own a PA128x151 (a small series produced only 2 years) for several years now even if I made my initial PPL on different planes (Katana, Cessna).

Thanks guys.

Unfortunately, the Scansim Cherokee cockpit is too far removed from what I'm flying in (G-BOAH out of EGPK if you're interested :) ) and since my primary reason for wanting one is procedure practice it wouldn't make much sense :(

Hi

I have the Carenado FSX version, and it works fine.  I have installed just about all of my Carenado aircraft, and in P£Dv2.1, they all seem to be fully functional (there was a problem with the GPS in version 2.0).  I can't remember how I installed the PA28, but I think it was with the EMT.

Hi

Should have clarified:  my Carenado PA28 is the Archer II (I believe that this is their most recent PA28 model).

If you could wait some time, then wait for the A2A PA28 Cherokee

Hello,

I have the cherokee from A2A.

But I fly on the ARcher II and the Archer III, and the panel are'nt very close to the cherokee.

I tried the Archer III from justflight.

I ask me to buy this one from carenado (best graphism !)

Aviatorman said it was ok with p3d2

Do you know if we can easaly use the Mindstar gps ?

Now that the A2A Cherokee is out, I definitely prefer it to the Carenado PA28s. But of course, it's not a warrior, but the realism of the systems and pre-flight checks are really helpful if you are training in a real-world PA28.

I've the cherokee too ! A2a are excellent... but its'not a warrior like you say. That you say about the warrior of carenado push me to buy it !

And did you put the gps mindstar in the carenado ?

Which type? IFR? ILS? NDB?

Finally I successed to incorporate the GNS 430 in both PA28 A2A and Carenado, but I'm very disappointed by the features of this GPS and I find their support contemptuous as you can read here : http://www.avsim.com/topic/469707-garmin-430-unable-to-display-data-fields/

Suggest you try the Flight1 GTN650 (or 750).

Way better functionality, and great customer support

Bert

I will do that in the future. For now I'm training for use the GNS 430 wich is in the PA28 I fly. May be if my club find money...  :P
