June 5, 201412 yr Moderator Go grab it and enjoy :-) http://developer.x-plane.com/2014/06/x-plane-10-30-beta-3-is-out/
June 5, 201412 yr I love Beta Season, Every time I see an Update is Available I get all giddy inside. :yahoo:
June 5, 201412 yr After telling the program to update to b3 and downloading and installing, it still asks for update authorization when restarting. After repeatedly installing 2mb of data, and "fly now", it shows b2. Any ideas? John John Wingold

June 5, 201412 yr No issues here, updated fine. Intel i-9 13900KF @ 6.0 Ghz, MSI RTX 4090 Suprim Liquid X 24GB, MSI MAG CORELIQUID C360, MSI Z790 A-PRO WIFI, MSI MPG A1000G 1000W, G.SKILL 48Gb@76000 MHz DDR5, MSI SPATIUM M480 PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 2TB, Windows 11 Pro Ghost Spectre x64 “We sleep safe in our beds because rough men stand ready in the day and night to visit violence on those who would do us harm”.
June 5, 201412 yr I continue to have the problem, so I am rolling back to 25 and will then try making the jump to 30b3. Thanks, John We then with the same problem... Douglas, That took care of it - rolled back to 25 (just uncheck the beta block in the updater), let it start up, shut down, and run the updater again - with the beta checked. John John Wingold
June 5, 201412 yr Ok - I found out that wasn't what was causing the problem. Change your desktop shortcut to the new one in the folder before flying. I don't know why, but that was the problem. John John Wingold
June 6, 201412 yr Release notes indicate no work on the "clouds" this go around. :-( That's what needs the most work for my setup... Hopefully b4
June 6, 201411 yr I'm still awaiting 10.30 final for my install. Have installed XP10 demo on a laptop to test b1, and then b2, but will skip anything that doesn't really bring news for me, and that is, some light regarding now, at least: 1) The new visibility settings not killing the lowest spec machines, like my I5 with Geeforce 650 Ti 1GB 2) There being some way of editing / changing the weather according to this new visibility settings, in such a way that if we can see further away, then weather settings should influence at least all of the visible area. The "wall of fog" is still present for me when I tested it. Also, with almost zero visibility near ground, as soon as I get up to cruise alt I can see everything down as if it was a clear / CAVOK day. At least the use of some overcast layer of low stratus should be used ( ? ) Regarding the flight modelling issues, namely those that I have been after since the early days of XP10, I will wait an see what any talented / close to LR developers can do with the new datarefs. They look very promising and n good hands could actually bring X-Plane to a level of detail only achievable in the most detailed flight simulation games ( combat ), with specific design used for each aircraft model. The possibility of making use of the mouse wheel to operate knobs would also be a great addition. I know one of the devs thinks it's not a good idea, but I guess at least 90% of the users would certainly welcome it... specially now with the new GNS430 ;-) Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)
June 6, 201411 yr Where can I download the beta ? Either use the updater or click "about" on the top bar while in the simulation. Either way, check "check for betas" during the screens and you will get it. Make a backup of your original before doing it... John John Wingold

I know one of the devs thinks it's not a good idea, but I guess at least 90% of the users would certainly welcome it... specially now with the new GNS430 ;-) GNS430 popup does allow mouse wheel manipulation, now if they would only apply it to or allow 3PD to incorporate it also. I mean with the Quick View setup do we really need to have a zoom on the mouse wheel which could be used in a better way? It's overkill. I take it you're no longer Xplane Mod as you're not red anymore.

Although I got used to the different ways of manipulating the knobs in the 3D pits of my aircraft addons, I have to admit, that I really like the possibility to turn the knobs of the 2D popup GNS with the mouse wheel. Entering longer flight plans is much more comfortable that way!
June 6, 201411 yr Friends passed when the update is still showing 2 MB to install, I squeeze in next update and it seems to update the following files: cloud_puff0.png cloud_puff1.png cloud_puff2.png cloud_puff3.png cloud_puff4.png cloud_puff5.png It updates but when I enter the X-plane does not see any cloud, I'll be back to update again and it is to update and even 2 MB files. Do I need to remove the Skymaxx? Sorry my english
