Yes I agree not being able to at least view their support forum is a retrograde step and in my mind tarnishes the otherwise very high reputation of the developers. What are they trying to hide from the average FS punter? It just makes potential purchasers like me very wary about laying down their hard earned cash - all a bit self defeating IMHO.Bruceb

Hi"If flying inside a virtual cabin w/ flushable lavs is the hallmark of a "high end simulator", then Level-D is not for you. This is not "novelty-ware"."DillonNothing wrong with the AP on this end.Read the manual and forum faqs.LOL well saidTroy

Uhhh!!?? Not quite sure how this is a response to my post.Bruceb

Yep- well I too was going to buy it and may well be missing out on a good thing, but the signs do not look good for any company wanting to cover up like this. Now I can see only allowing owners of their aircraft to POST in the forum, but POST AND READ? Hmmmm...something fishy there! They have been hailed as a creative company who set the standard with new innovative ideas and components...so is this forum thing their "innovative" trend setting move? If so I sure hope other companies follow this lead?!I surely do not want to come off sounding negative, just someone on the outside looking in through the frosted glass windows, looking for clues to buy this seemingly good aircraft...

UUhhhhhSimply put it`s not.Troy

Troy you need to go read the support forum because I've already read the manual...I go back a long ways with PIC. I was around when Eric Ernst first made his 4 Engine jet cockpit for FS98. He used to fly the SAAB340 for American Eagle. I've talked with him via emails and owned the first version of PIC for FS2000. Of the many people that know how to use this add-on, I'm one of them

I've got just about every aircraft out there and I must say this one's a winner. The flight dynamics are great, it really feels like a heavy bird. It takes every bit of runway to get airbourne and a lot of sky to slow down. Let me weigh in about not allowing non-owners to use the support forum. You will find nothing there that is not available elsewhere. Simply said, I find that most of the posts are from those who have not read the manual, do not understand large heavy aircraft, or simply don't try very hard.I brought it the first hour it was available. Like many others, I don't bother to read the whole manual but try to pick up what I need to get it off the ground. As I type this post, my BA767-300ER is quietly flying in the background on its 5ht flight. If you can fly the PMDG 737NG, then you can fly this bird. It is very similar.I have found nothing technically wrong with the a/c nor is programming the FMC a great feat once you understand FMC's.It is very frame rate friendly as does as well as my PMDG 737NG, DF727 and does better than the ATR72-500. Autoland works perfectly, runs to altitude are great as are most of the features. I don't have a visual indication of other a/c on the TCAS at this point but I plan to read the manual when I have time.Level D has probably noticed the quantity of stupid complaints in other support forums which have little to do with the product offered and everything to do with a poor pilot who won't read and may not understand if they could.

John just because it works great for you doesn't mean others are just too stupid to read the manual. The autopilot issue is lagitimate for some users and so are the many other problems reported...

Tom and all,I hate to be the one to say it. . .but looks like what I was saying several weeks ago in this same forum was true after all. Yes, I have seen first hand the developer's inability to accept even the most helpful criticism. Cap that with blatant censorship on the PIC forum along with the almost cultlike behavior exhibited by many of the followers. . .and now the apparent "closed," forum, and as a consumer I won't touch a Level D product with a ten foot pole.Bottom line, I only patronize companies that I believe respect their customers and our hobby. There are just simply too many good products out there backed by companies that meet these "specs." Any doubts, just take a look at how great PMDG treats their customers. Spend just a few minutes perusing their forums and you'll know exactly what I'm talkng about. Right now, and in the future, Level D is not going to get any money from me. IMHO, my hard earned quid is better spent elsewhere.Gary Hawk"HAWKMAN"
