CAT II descision height difference!

CAT III has different requirements which are not shown the the charts:
 

2. Decision height. For operations in which a decision height is used, an operator must ensure that the decision height
is not lower than:
(i) The minimum decision height specified in the AFM, if stated;
(ii) The minimum height to which the precision approach aid can be used without the required visual reference;
or
(iii) The decision height to which the flight crew is authorised to operate.


COMMISSION REGULATION (EC) No 859/2008 provides everything you need.

Ok so lets say OCH is 61 this is from a chart at EGPH could you still use cat II mins 100ft?

Also off the topic, some navigraph charts have ILS+DME are these CAT I approaches? And also LOC+DME is this localizer only with DME?

did you read what mgh posted a bit earlier including the quote about CAT II?

Point (v) states that CAT II shall never be lower than 100 ft.

 

So, yes if EGPH has got an OCH of 61 ft the minimum DH for a CAT II is still 100 ft. Read the quote of mgh again!!!

What i'm trying to get at is if the OCH is lower than DH i will use 100 for mins cat II ?

 

because being a newb i have been using the OCH for mins all the time so for future if OCH is lower than DH i can use 100 feet?

Vernon, if you want to hear otherwise, don't wait up, because you won't. You cannot go under 100 on CAT II.

ILS+DME is an ILS with a collocated DME. Nothing less, nothing more. Nothing to do with category.

LOC+DME is a localizer with DME.

Now i'm confused found an approach chart with cat II mins at 89 feet thought cat II mins are only 100

If you could provide us with a bit more information you would make it much easier for us to answer your question.

 

Which airport are you talking about, which runway and if possible who supplied the chart?

 

Maybe you can post a screenshot of the respective section in the chart or a link to the respective chart?

It's THE tutorial, not some anonymous tutorial. The one that comes with the plane.

It's still anonymous in relation to the Netherands AIP which is freely available via the internet.

 

Anway, the point is that there still no evidence stating  that the Decision Height is 89 ft at any of the EHAM runways.

You guys do realize that you're arguing about a difference in:

  1. A tutorial that was written nearly three years ago; and
  2. Nav data and charts that change approximately every 56 days...

...right?

 

Unless you're comparing the chart of the approach from the cycle effective at the same time as the tutorial, you're comparing apples to oranges...
