True story here. Spent 10 years in a career with John Deere (Deere & Company) and then 23 years in a career with American Honda Motor Co. but I promise I had nothing to do with the factory paint schemes of either the HondaJet or these colors of JD lawn tractors from a one year sales program in the late 1960's...LOL Perhaps we should recreate these as airport vehicles to tow HondaJets in and out of hangars.

Patio Red was my favorite!

We pulled out of a C172 not just because someone else got there first, but there was a real possibility we'd be beholden to a UK agent of Textron with a department whose sole purpose was to monetise logos and "likeness". I am not sure if anyone has tested this monetisation right but I wasn't willing to try. We're too small to risk it.

Violation of corporate trade marks is a complicated legal subject. It could be claimed that publishing photos other than for "fair use" in journalism is a potential violation. In that case nearly all the images on airliner.net could be claimed to be a grey area.

No-one to my knowledge has challenged the monetisation of sim replicas in the courts but I might be wrong. I have to say that it is a pretty desperate measure for an aircraft manufacturer to try and gain a financial benefit which really doesn't earn much for them anyway - sim addon sales are chicken feed for the average aircraft manufacturer. So there might be other reasons; for example they feel their corporate image is somehow damaged by digital replicas of their designs popping up on addon portals.

Will send you a PM here via Avsim in the next few days. I can paint the landscape for you. No easy answer as you already know. But may help you in decision making about other potential projects.

Paul,

Those Factory Repaints look awesome! By any chance, are these available for FS 9?

Alan

Thanks, I am not sure but if the plane works in fs9 than the paints should also work.

Flew the Honda Jet yesterday. I was reminded why I don't fly it often:  The VC is massively large.  I've tried everything I know of to reduce it on screen, but I can't seem to get there.  Use the minus key, and the down arrow key (I use EZdok), but I can't get a good looking realistically sized VC.

Is there a way to permanently reduce it in the config?   If you know how to do this, I'd appreciate the advice.

Paul,

If it's possible, I was wondering if you would be so kind as to provide a Copy of your HJ Repaints to try out?

Thanks!

If I can find them. I had a pc crash and lost a bunch of things but will look through some of my older usb drive's saves.

There are combination keys that can change your eyepoint.  I use Ctrl-Backspace to move in and Ctrl-Enter to move out, Shift-Backspace to move down and Shift-Enter to move up. I have these mapped to the side-to-side and up-down slide switches on my Saitek Pro Cessna yoke which makes it easy to adjust on the fly.

I have a 27" screen and run 1920X1080X32.

Ctrl Backspace / Enter doesn't work  on my system for some reason.  Perhaps has to do with EZDok settings.  The ONLY plane I have a problem with is the Hondajet.  Every other plane has a VC that I can adjust to satisfaction.

Stan

Greetings!

I downloaded, installed and flew the freeware Honda Jet just now. Pretty slick little number!! No problems adjusting the panel view with shift/control + backspace/enter.

High again Allen!

Frank, I lived in Connestee Falls (Brevard), NC from 1998 to 2003. Loved it!

Hey, Bruce!

Found a couple Red Factory Repaints for the HondaJet, loaded them and took her for a spin.

Fun airplane! Boy, do I need practice flying Jets, though!
