Possible idea as a addition to PMDG planes

Using that logic, why are you not flying Captain Sim or other 777, what made you chose PMDG. I think if they were to make their own, the experience would be better.

That's not the same but whatever

The SDK is out not that SP1 for the 777 has been released.  Bryan has said that he hopes to get FS2Crew for the 777 released by August/September.  The code is written he just needs the voice files back from the voice actors and then he has to hook into the 777 via the SDK.

Forgive me if I am reading this incorrectly. What you want is PMDG, the maker of add-on aircraft, to stop making aircraft and go and make a co-pilot app for their planes. This would work exactly like FS2Crew or MCE, which are designed by people who make co-pilot add-ons. Your reasoning behind this is that because PMDG make great planes then they must make a great co-pilot add-on.

What about scenery, do you want them to make that as well so you can land in PMDG scenery.

That's like say, Ferrari make great cars so can they make the tyres to go with it, because they must be better the Pirelli's. Just because Ferrari make great cars does not mean that they would even think of making tyres, just as PMDG make great aircraft, the extra to make a co-pilot add-on when there are perfectly good ones available would be ludicrous.

You are trying to rationalise your argument because instead of looking on the internet and seeing what s available you posted on here. When people told you that the add-on's you wanted have been available for years and just to search, you then tried to move the goal post.

Yup that's what he wants

Hopefully they can look into this.

no one said they should stop making aircraft, not sure how you interpret what was posted, but don't reply posting something that wasn't said.

-MUST? no, it would be nice thou.

-if they got time, it would be cool... but we have FTX.

-maybe, what is available, is not the best QUALITY.

Hopefully they can lock this.

Seems like this heart of this discussion is about not fully understanding duplication of effort...

Ford makes cars.

Chevy makes cars.

This could be seen as a duplication of efforts, but the crux here is that each of them thinks they can make a better car.

Boeing makes airplanes, but Boeing could also start making cars.

Why do they not?  Duplication of efforts, and lack of specialization.

Ford, Chevy and the like do it well enough that Boeing doesn't need to, and Boeing has its own thing going.

PMDG makes airplanes, and it could probably start making virtual co-pilots.

Why do they not?  Duplication of efforts, and what seems like at the very least an amicable relationship with FS2Crew.

Why mess that relationship up by duplicating efforts and making competing products?

With SP1, PMDG has made available the SDK that allows FS2Crew to connect to the PMDG 777 so we can flip switches and read stuff out of the aircraft.

Hooray!  B)

We're still holding our PMDG 777 Release Contest which you can enter on the FS2Crew website.

Release date: We hope to release FS2Crew 777 soon... most of the work is already done.

We may release Ultimate Ground Crew X at the same time, we'll see.

Bryan, What happens if you have already signed up for the newsletter in the other pre release contest, do you have to sign up again?

Will do Bryan. I have MCE and as much as I love it and it's ability to add voice to GEX and PFE, I love the fact that FS2Crew is not stitched together.

Damn you Bryan for building a product that is so good.... (that's me creeping if you want another beta tester lol)
