July 20, 201411 yr Recently added ORBX Open lc Europe to Prepar3d V2.2 and have had a few days to test. Quite simply, this scenery is brilliant! Excellent frame rates, nice detail. I greatly anticipate the release of other Open lc areas by ORBX. If you have not tried this scenery, I wholly recommend it. Beechcraft Sundowner

July 21, 201411 yr It almost looks like photorealistic scenery. I can't wait for the NA version to be released later this year.
July 21, 201411 yr ....apart from that here is not a single beach in Normandy, Spain looks still way to green and a bunch of other Problems, this is a nice Product in Beta-Stage.
July 21, 201411 yr single beach in Normandy, Spain looks still way to green Welcome acerus. Land Class (LC) should not be confused with texturing however.
July 25, 201411 yr Hi guys who already purchased LC europe, can you post some screenshots of beautiful landscapes? the ones onFTX website doesn't show much improvements over Global and Vector. Is it worth to add Open LC Europe over Global?
July 27, 201411 yr The difference is night and day. You won't be disappointed. Whoever said the product is beta stage is just flat out wrong. OpenLC covers an area that is over 1 million square miles. Will there need to be patches? Of course. You can't possibly comb every inch of land class in beta testing. This is a product that will continuously evolve and transform the flight sim world, which will be done through patches and upgrades, and at no additional cost. July 28, 201411 yr How you can be sure that this is the last Add-on ? Remember, first there was FTX Global, then Vector, now OpenLC, next one is maybe "FTX Super Extreme". And again new cost for us. Don't take that as ironic comment, but it is true, isn't it?
July 29, 201411 yr Orbx have indicated that there will be several free updates. Of course at some future date they may decide to develop a new product, but what's wrong with that? A company that stops making new products and only produces free updates to existing products won't stay in business for too long!

Don't take that as ironic comment, but it is true, isn't it? It is common knowledge that companies around the world in all sorts of fields continually develop new products as new technologies become available. Some, including vendors of IT software and hardware, force the purchaser to spend additional 'new cost' just to continue using the already purchased products. ORBX, on the other hand, does not do anything other than offer the latest technology in their products to potential purchasers. Purchasers who choose to stick with the old versions are not penalised in any way, and mostly still receive free-of-charge updates and patches.

Purchasers who choose to stick with the old versions are not penalised in any way, and mostly still receive free-of-charge updates and patches. I think I am the one who sticks to ORBX because they are still trying to catch up new customers, but this is mostly because of P3DV2. Since FSX as it is, it can not catch any longer P3DV2, which has been significantly improved. On another hand the important here is that P3dV2 should continue to try to catch the X-plane, to keep its customers, and maybe in future take a lead. So ORBX depends on P3DV2 from now on, if P3DV2 looses customers, ORBX will also loose. And vice versa: P3DV2 depends on ORBX, since they give a "life" to the simulation. Me for example, I bought P3DV2 only because I believed it would be improvement from FSX (which I still have, by the way) in using my ORBX add-ons. But also I have X-plane10 which opens new world of photosceneries and OSM data. Sentimental reasons still keep me with FSX/P3D, and lot ofadd-on planes and places to fly to.
