August 16, 201411 yr Looks good, shame about seeing default trees in the airport, they look so unrealistic. Regards, Jeremy Chesney
August 16, 201411 yr This is the scenery that Aerosoft refused to publish. Their comment is that textures are amateur (FS9 like), and frame rates are terrible. DJ
August 16, 201411 yr Moderator The screenshots on that link should be sufficient warning to any prospective buyer. DreamFactoryStudios have been sold a pup. It's absolutely scandalous that in 8 years no-one has produced a decent LIRF for FSX. Ray (Cheshire, England). August 27, 201411 yr Author Just to confirm i tried the Rome scenery this morning, its terrible. It lags and completely kills frames, a word of warning to people, stay away from it.

Probably why Aerosoft passed on it. Wonder why this guy can't develope good performing sceneries like FlyTampa, T2G, LatinVFR, FSDT, and Flightbeam do? He must be behind on good development techniques that other devs use. Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator
August 27, 201411 yr Just so there's no confusion Roma Fiumicino is LIRF not LIRP. LIRP is Pisa. Super VC10 into LOWI with PF3 at a cinema near you https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=298UDyNmgUA
August 27, 201411 yr It's absolutely scandalous that in 8 years no-one has produced a decent LIRF for FSX. Couldn't agree more. Freeware developer Pompeii, Italy and Mount Vesuvius (pompeii_italy.zip) and A380 Flight plans (ai_a380_flightplans_redux.zip).
August 27, 201411 yr I wrote a review on it here: http://www.iflysimx.com/topic/970-dreamfactory-studio-rome-fiumicino-airport-lirf-review/ This is the summary I gave it: 1/5 | Publisher: SimMarket | Developer: DreamFactory Studio | Price: 20.50EUR Despite some nice looking texture work, the poor performance make the airport almost un-flyable. The massive drop in frame rate and the incompatibility make it a really hard recommendation. Despite being the only option to fly into Rome Fiumicino, DreamFactory Studio have really done a disservice to the community. An unfinished and poor performing product - an update is really the only thing that can salvage it. + Good looking models surround the airport. + Some areas have some nice texture work. - Massive performance issues make the airport almost unflyable. - Incompatibility with FTX products, no manual and a broken options menu.
