August 29, 201411 yr Also, I have no choice to lock frame using 1/2 vsync in nvidia inspector, otherwise I get terrible screen tearing, even with x-planes internal lock I don't use NVi, but the tearing can be stopped by putting vsync on in your nvidia control panel, NOT nvi. I think its under 3d apps tab, just set vsync on for xp10. No need for 1/2 refresh rate etc -Roland
August 29, 201411 yr Author I tried that, but when going from 30FPS to 60FPS its like the screen cant keep up and it judders?
August 29, 201411 yr Author So after further 2 days of testing every possible scenario. I can now go back to beta 8. I have done this:- Set standard 1/2 refresh rate using nvidia inspector, and enabled triple buffering. i set 'do not lock' in x-plane rendering settings. To test I just flew a fighter jet over a major city where previously I had stutters even at 100knts. Now.....SUPER SMOOTH! like it used to be, not even 1 micro stutter. NOT ONE! Whatever that triple buffering has done, it has worked a minor miracle. Now I can fly again. Smooooooth! Thanks Ian

Thanks Ian Will try this, however, I HIGHLY doubt it has to do with the triple buffer, as it is a feature I am pretty sure X-Plane does not support. VSYNC itself has nothing to do with the stutters. - Currently giving X-Plane 12.10 a spin on Shadow PC. 10 years with X-Plane now, since 10.20
August 29, 201411 yr Author Weird, because If I disable those settings, the stutters come back. leaving these settings enabled, and they go. So I don't know what's causing it, but I'm leaving those settings!

So I don't know what's causing it, but I'm leaving those settings! Then that's perfect. Will try it tonight but my hopes are low! - Currently giving X-Plane 12.10 a spin on Shadow PC. 10 years with X-Plane now, since 10.20
August 29, 201411 yr RC1 is here. I think it may fixed it , as I don't get any CPU jumping anymore (it was happening to me for a few minutes when I start a flight and then gets stable , now it's ok)
August 29, 201411 yr Haven't tried Triple Buffering yet, but R1 seems to make the stuttering worse for me,. - Currently giving X-Plane 12.10 a spin on Shadow PC. 10 years with X-Plane now, since 10.20
August 30, 201411 yr Haven't tried Triple Buffering yet, but R1 seems to make the stuttering worse for me,. +1 here, sometimes for a few seconds before returning to normal.. August 30, 201411 yr Stutters are severe for me and it really sucks. I tried close to everything, even removing all scenery. I get 60fps but stutters every few seconds, it's unflyable. - Currently giving X-Plane 12.10 a spin on Shadow PC. 10 years with X-Plane now, since 10.20
August 30, 201411 yr Yes, same microstutter every 3 sec or so but very smooth in between. Was hoping RC1 would've ended that. Tom
September 1, 201411 yr I have to say that after testing for about every possible cause, I don't think b8 or r1 cause the stutters. They seem to appear occasionally and might have to do with scenery, Windows, my system, nVidia drivers - I don't know, but it's not baked in X-Plane. It's hit or miss and hard to nail down. I got rid of them by resetting my NI settings (even though nothing was set basically), but then a day later, they were back. I believe they only appear under heavy load and daytime setting. But as I said, they're mysterious... - Currently giving X-Plane 12.10 a spin on Shadow PC. 10 years with X-Plane now, since 10.20
September 4, 201411 yr OK seems my stutters are back... I really have no clue, but I don't think it's caused by X-Plane settings (bus overload). I am thinking either mainboard settings or nVidia drivers, but as I said, I am basically clueless. They seem to get worse over time though. Anybody else solved their stutters? - Currently giving X-Plane 12.10 a spin on Shadow PC. 10 years with X-Plane now, since 10.20
