I don't get it. Are those Airports already in Xplane or will they come as an update?

The airports are already in X-Plane (but without buildings) and the 3D scenery that users contributed to the gateway website are not yet in x-plane but will be included in future updates (a few have already been included in recent updates though).

That doesn't make sense.... The airports on the map should be already done by users... I see WEDbot has been busy with WI wish he'd do MN

The airports on the map are ready for you to download and install.  Just click on the marker, click download on the resulting page, unzip the download, and copy and paste the unzipped file into your "Custom Scenery" folder.  What has been said is that they will be included in a future release, but this gives you a jump on that, should you choose to do so.

Hey Guys

If you look at the developer blog, I believe WEDbot is the account that contains WED airports already in the 10.30rc1 update, so if you have updated to this release all the airports in WEDbot are already there.

The airports that are already in 10.30 are uploaded by ‘WEDBot’, which is an account we used to transfer our existing collection into the Gateway.  As users share data, we will start to get good attribution; I think this is important because we will know who to contact to sort out issues with airports.

That's how I read it anyhow.

Exactly right. All airports by WEDbot are already present in X-Plane if you have the latest beta update. Note that you must check the "Check for betas" box checked to receive beta updates.

The gateway is not intended for users to download big numbers of airports, its more of a collection tool and to give developers the chance to download single airports for editing.

Yes the airports are there, but without any 3D buildings. For the whole airport with buildings you have to download it.

It was my fault. My scenery-packs.ini was messed up

Not correct. The airports have buildings.

Is it automatically updated once new airports are uploaded?

This would be even better if the map outlined whether they have actual buildings (3D) as opposed to basically what already comes in sim (2D - concrete).. Good job though as it must have taken some time to do this.
