Well thats a good question - one way to find out if it wont install it will let you know it - if it does install you would probably be fine - this is a must tool as is P3D itself - but you can try without it should not hurt - I have tried to install some stuff without it and it would not let me Rich Sennett

October 22, 201411 yr You can get Shade to work by simply making a copy of your prepar3d.exe, name it fsx.exe, and put it in the same folder as the prepar3d.exe file. Shade thinks you have FSX, and will work as normal. No need for migrating or copying textures.
October 22, 201411 yr Thanks for the shot Rich, quick question, I have bought Shade a while ago but kinda gave up on it as the VC was too dark for my liking. Is that still the case? do they have new presets or new versions that address the issue? John
