May 8, 200521 yr I would like to express my enthusiasm for Level D's 767. I purchased this aircraft yesterday and after a great live tutorial from Tim Westnutt, who was sitting beside me as I learned the systems and procedures, I could see straight away that this addon delivers what I have been looking for in a passenger jet for a long time: Not only top quality but BRILLIANT FRAME RATES and performance at the same time.Level D have proved that you can have a beautiful and complex aircraft, 2d cockpit AND Virtual Cockpit without compromising smooth performance. I was astounded by the healthy frame rates despite having traffic, complex scenery and the VC all working at once. The aircraft flies superbly and every feature, including the FMC and a/p, functioned perfectly.Well done chaps!Kind Regards,Rob Young Robert Young - retired full time developer - see my Nexus Mod Page and my GitHub Mod page
May 8, 200521 yr Hi,how's the performance of the 767 compared to the PMDG Boeings? I don't want to rant about PMDG. Their birds are really fantastic, but I had to turn down most sliders/details a lot to get a halfway stutter free experience.Alex Alex' Projects: Little Navmap
May 8, 200521 yr I only use the VC when flying and here the PMDG 737 is the winner, almost no hit in FPS with .5 zoom. I really like the LEVEL-D 767 but it can turn into a slideshow using the VC, i had hoped this would be adressed in the update, but theres no difference.Ole Nielsen

And it's strange you say that in the first place, as most users report better f/r in the 767, compared to the 737. Your f/r hit was probably due to one of the other items that has been fixed. BobK
May 8, 200521 yr Yes frame rates are really good in 2D or from the VC. Make sure you select high resolution VC gauges from the configuration manager. The refresh rate is much better now. Thanks to the team for a great add-on.John
May 8, 200521 yr Yup,This thing was incredible before the update. It is even more so now. Gauge refresh rates in VC are absolutely the BEST I have ever seen in a trully complex aircraft. Everything works perfectly!
May 8, 200521 yr Author I agree. My 767 framerates have always been 10-20% better than the 737.Doug Intel 10700K @ 5.1Ghz, Asus Hero Maximus motherboard, Noctua NH-U12A cooler, Corsair Vengeance Pro 32GB 3200 MHz RAM, RTX 2060 Super GPU, Cooler Master HAF 932 Tower, Thermaltake 1000W Toughpower PSU, Windows 10 Professional 64-Bit, 100TB of disk storage. May 8, 200521 yr Almost all the other major commercial jet releases -PSS, PMDG, Feelthere- include a full database of SIDs and STARs - why wasn't that included with the release of an upgrade for the Level D sim?ricardo
May 8, 200521 yr I have read LSD's explanation for not including sids/stars in the FMC database and I have to accept their explanation but I cannot understand how developers such as PMDG and PSS can include sids/stars in their database but LSD cannot.I know I can make my own or download those that enthusiasts have made but why should I if I am paying LSD for a product that I then have to add to it myself.
May 8, 200521 yr ricardo,"Almost all the other major commercial jet releases -PSS, PMDG, Feelthere- include a full database of SIDs and STARs - why wasn't that included with the release of an upgrade for the Level D sim"1. because they didn't want to.2. Because they are easy enough to enter on your own.3. If you use FSBuild or FSNav, they will enter them for you.4. Many Sids/Stars will be written and uploaded by users over the next months.5. It's enjoyable to do them yourself. You pick.
May 8, 200521 yr Author None of the developers of those aircraft provided the SIDS/STARS. Those are made available via the Navdata-Service ( http://www.navdata.at/ ) . Eventually we'll get them for the LDS763 also. People are working on it.Doug Intel 10700K @ 5.1Ghz, Asus Hero Maximus motherboard, Noctua NH-U12A cooler, Corsair Vengeance Pro 32GB 3200 MHz RAM, RTX 2060 Super GPU, Cooler Master HAF 932 Tower, Thermaltake 1000W Toughpower PSU, Windows 10 Professional 64-Bit, 100TB of disk storage.
