FSX-SE Incompatibility Thread

Recommended Posts

What about EZDOK - have seen posts that it is a non starter in FSX SE if so it is a game breaker me as I use it on every aircraft.

Ok Bill stay tuned I'll tell you asa FSX-SE is downloaded and installed.

Any luck Riccardo? My plans to try got derailed, but I might give it a go on my next day off of work (Wednesday) since the family is out of town and I'm playing bachelor for a week. Unless, of course, you found out that the effort was in vain and we must wait for the official update. I haven't tried installing the legacy Simconnect versions yet either, but I'm curious if that would work along with a solo install.

Yes, running all three legacy simconnect installers is essential, as many FSX add-ons will not install or run correctly without them. It's even more important to do this on a system that runs SE only (without FSX original presently or previously installed).

PMDG 737 and 777 don't work in a single installation either. All available SimConnects installed.

ORBX Objectflow crashes my sim (latest ORBX libraries used).

ASN crashes my sim, but AS 2012 works.

Majestic Q400 no cockpit click sounds, other than that it works.

Simstarter seems to have trouble with the new FSX.CFG

FSX SE reinstalled DirectX, since then my sound driver crashes frequently.

Confirmed....Citation Mustang a no-go even with legacy simconnect and a stand-alone installation.

Captain Sim's Legendary L-1011 doesn't work on my FSX-SE sole installation. No landing gear and no

control surfaces work. Throttle seems OK. May be their installer.

Neither Flight1SoundStream and TaxiSignsHD work with FSX-SE (sole installation). Incompatible DLL issues that crash FSX-SE if attempting to run the DLLs once.

EZdok is working absolutely fine, you need to upgrade it to 1.18 beta though :)

A2A's Piper Cherokee works great - no issues with the plane or AccuSim.

Sorry - I don't own Real Air but you can check http://steamcommunity.com/app/314160/discussions/1/626329820762751955/

Thx smakar!

I have also installed the A2A J3, C172, C182, both P-51's, B-17G, P-40, Spitfire and the B-377 COTS.

So far I have only flown the two P-51's but I do not anticipate any major issues with the other A2A aircraft. By temporarily changing the registry key for the FSX setup location to point to the FSX-SE folder I was able to run the installers as though I was installing into FSX.

My primary 'incombatability' so far has been the inability to connect to the Digital Theme Park servers via the FSX-SE Multiplayed "Direct Connect" which is what I use in FSX and the DTP servers are the only ones I fly on.

Sorry Bill, I couldn't try it out, I was very busy in those days. So Mustang doesn't work either in a single FSX:SE installation? I hope F1 release an installer update.
