FSX-SE Incompatibility Thread

Featured Replies

Yes, the Real Air Duke works fine, Accusim works great, UTX is fine, Flight 1 just released the King Air 200 installer with FSX SE support.  The Citation should follow soon.  Oh and Digital Aviation Cheyenne package and REX 4 TD work well also.

Please can we stick only to the add-ons which DO NOT currently work in FSX:SE (unless something which previously did not work now does). There is another compatibility thread for add-ons which do work or for queries about compatibility. Let's try keep this thread as a list of incompatible products. Thanks.

AI Smooth reports the correct FSUIPC version, but displays "Flight Simulator not running" as well as no monitored flights.

Flight 1 C162 Skycatcher does not currently work with FSXSE but I believe, following their B200 being made compatible, they're going through the rest of the 'in-house' range (Mustang, C162, C177, C182) and adding compatibility soon.

It might be checking the FS version number. In FSUIPC 4.938 and 4.938a FSX-SE was reported as ESP (the one after FSX, before P3D). Try FSUIPC version 4.938b which has that fixed so it reports it as FSX.

Yup, that seems to fix AI Smooth.

Captain Sim's Legendary L-1011 doesn't work on my FSX-SE sole installation. No landing gear and no

control surfaces work. Throttle seems OK. May be their installer.

I wanted to check this and it works on my FSX-SE system. In the past Ive had your problem with the 727 in FSX Box, no wheels.

ZORAN

Hi Zoran, Glad to hear the L-1011 works on your setup. Can you say how you corrected the "no wheels"

problem on the 727. in FSX box? It may give me some clue. At the moment I have uninstalled the L-1011

until a fix comes up, but perhaps It's ME !!!  Anyway, thanks for your comment.

Reg, I didn't do anything to get the 727 to work, I just haven't flown it since. Every year I buy one aircraft from Capt sim sale because they are so cheap and then never fly it again lol. This year its the L-1011 and haven't flown it yet either however Im leaning away from studying INS navigation and Installing the F1 GTN 750 not realistic but practical.

I bought the 727 before I over-clocked my card to 4.8ghz and I think that may have brought the wheels back .

I cannot get my WoAI traffic to work in SE. I have copied and pasted all the traffic bgl files so it's not an installer problem. Has anyone succeeded?

Iain Smith

Iain,

I have WoAI traffic working fine in SE - with no installation, just copying files. Firstly, I added the line at the FSX-SE.cfg (pointing the AI aircraft to my original FSX installation - did not copy them again):

C:\Games\FSX\SimObjects\AI_Airplanes

Secondly, I added all the traffic bgl´s (copied from my original FSX installation) into the proper FSX-SE folder (...\scenery\world\scenery).

Hi Edmundo, thanks for your response. Where in the cfg did you add this line, please?

Iain

If you have no internet connection NOTHING works in FSX SE, including him.

Iain,

Under [Main] after the last entry:

....

SimObjectPaths.5=SimObjects\Misc

SimObjectPaths.6=C:\Games\FSX\SimObjects\AI_Airplanes

But please note that I have all AI aircraft in the folder AI_Airplanes in SimObjects.

Adjust accordingly your setup.
