January 6, 201511 yr does this game have a decent Multiplayer community, I'd like to fight online Ron Hamilton "95% is half the truth, but most of it is lies, but if you read half of what is written, you'll be okay." __ Honey Boo Boo's Mom
January 6, 201511 yr Looks in il-2 BoS are, IMO, 2nd to no other presently available ww2 combat flight simulator. Great shots BTW! You can find me omline under the tag: "BOS-jcomm", although I spend a lot more time as "DCS-jcomm" vlying the SUPERB DCS WW2 birds ( flight dynamics-wise superior to what BoS presently has to offer... even if not that bad at all... ) Ah! And from time to time, you can also find a ROF-jcomm ( thats rough :-) ), figure where ? Also planning on trying out DCS if I can get the time, looks more and more like a solid platform.
January 6, 201511 yr Also planning on trying out DCS if I can get the time, looks more and more like a solid platform. It's another league :-) with no known competition right now - SUPERB in terms of flight dynamics.... Going to get a great update with EDGE, and investing in ww2 aircraft and a future Map. January 6, 201511 yr Nice shots. I'm a CFS fan, been flying IL-2 for years now though I can't get over why the BoS devs "game-ified" it with unlocks, non-customizable graphics settings and some serious deficiencies (such as no support for external gauges), so I've yet to purchase it and possibly never will. January 8, 201511 yr Yes, unfortunately, just like happened when I was a civil flightsim fan, there is always a need for a platform that merges the best aspects of each sim... - The visuals and immersive scenery and AI of il-2 BoS - The flight dynamics of DCS World, but also some aspects of BoS FDM - The damage model of il-2 BoS - The complexity of systems modelling in DCS World - The Weather allowing for more variables to be edited, but for instance with the turbulence and wind variability modeled in il-2 BoS ... Just as I was forced to do when using civil flightsims, with X-Plane and MSFS, I am forced to use il-2 BoS and DCS World, but I really hate having to use more than one simulator to cover the same type of aircraft :-/ And, if you enjoy what il-2 BoS offers and you have some interest in ww1 aircraft, then by all means go Rise of Flight too !!!
