January 18, 201511 yr Commercial Member One of the problems holding up getting third party content onto Steam at the moment is brand licencing. If you notice the first two releases - one already has an official licence from the brand owner (Lockhead) dating back to when it was first released, and the second announced product has no branded aircraft in it so it removes that hurdle. We are due to start releasing titles through Steam in the very near future, but hoop-jumping has had to be done to get there.
January 18, 201511 yr I don't know why folks want to play down or even dismiss DoveTail's efforts. People want to see them fail for the "I told ya so" moments. Sadly, I don't see the wisdom in the satisfaction of seeing others fail, but then again prediction of failure has always been a low-risk bet. Daniel Moser

January 18, 201511 yr Commercial Member Yes, they've been quite helpful when needed. I had a very lengthy and detailed email response from their devs explaining the ins and outs of the alternate fsx.cfg/dll.xml/scenery.cfg paths, and other issues as they've come up.
