Update on my tour... Left KMRY last week to KSMO as the PGA Tour moved on. Then headed out of KSMO westbound to start my long trip down to West Palm Beach, FL. 

 

The end of the photo set has a very disappointing and embarrassing moment captured that I regret to share, but it wouldn't be the first time it's ever happened in this hobby I suppose.

Eastbound to Falcon Field for a fuel stop and lunch...

Stopped in KAFW for fuel and food again on the way to Palm Beach...

 

 

 

Now the story gets interesting. After landing in Palm Beach I decided I was bored and wanted to go do a quick IFR flight since ATC was online. Shot an ILS approach into FLL, MIA, then returned to Palm Beach in super gusty winds (25 knot crosswind). I guess this was distracting enough that I didn't complete the landing checklist...

 

 

 

I have always prided myself in treating FSX as realistic and safe as possible as if it were real life...avoiding hazardous weather, doing thorough checklists and pre-flights, but I let myself down tonight and it's been killing me, I've only logged about 30 hours of IFR in this aircraft and it's trashed  :(
