Featured Replies

I have a question, I have fsx steam, and I have never purchased the 777, since it is now compatible with steam, if I purchase the 777 will the sp1d update for compatibility come with it? If not where can I download the update after purchase?

focus on Prepar3d version to see if finally we all can have a better stable sim.......Pedro

I believe if L/M were serious about improving the sim, we would have seen something significant by now ? My best hopes are with D/T ?

As soon as we release a service pack, we also put the new installer (that already includes the service pack updates) in our store so that what you purchase and download is the most current version as of the time of purchase. No need to install anything else.

Ok, thanks. So the update has already been released?

Yep. That's the whole entire purpose of this thread's existence.

The FSX base installers were updated (from SP1C to SP1D) to install also into FSX:SE.

Although on the PMDG website the SP1C is still the newest base package SP. That is a bit confusing for sure: for FSX users the SP1C is still the newest update for older base packages.

The actual full installers are SP1D-versions (1.10.6320) now which "only" include added FSX:SE compatibility but NO new functionality (AFAIK).

When news is released, it gets its own stickeyed thread just like this one with the updates.

The tests were suppose to be this week, how did it go?

According to Aerosoft on Facebook, stated the 737 updates are released. That was a shot in the backside because I purchased the boxed version from a UK retailer and it panned out that I will still need to obtain the 600/700 and then 800/900 updates.. I was under the impression that the 737NGX was a combination of all the models.

So what should I do now, being stuck with just the NGX version(Whatever that is)?

That's a question for whoever you bought it from. One of the many reasons to always buy direct (same goes for airline tickets).

Aerosoft announced the original PMDG 77X months before PMDG released it.. just call it marketing.  There is not a PMDG 737 for FSX:SE yet, it's not even in beta.

My interpretation would be that the PMDG 737 NGX is the base package and extensions are sold separately.

Just for info for Aerosoft PMDG777 boxed owners,

I have been in contact with Aerosoft customer service, the update  wil be available trough them in around a week.

All i need after that is ActiveSky Next so i can do a much needed fresh install of FSX.

It takes a bit longer to get updates, but you do get a nice printed manual with the boxed version :P
