Great :) Now I can wait another year+ before I have to spend $2,999 upgrading my system and buying all new add-ons.

And I can `invest` in some more FS2004 addons, knowing they won't be outdated anytime soon!Allcott

Seems all our instincts/deductions were correct. Phew, what a relief!Mike

Well it says nothing about on what format? Maybe it

Well no need to put off upgrading the PC until the next release then - AMD 64 here I come :(

FS9 is as good a point as any to 'pause the sim'regards,MarkXPHomeSP2/FS9.1/3.2HT/1GIG/X700pro256

Thanks for the heads up.Perhaps this should be headline news here?Cheers :)Josh

I have a feeling that the next version of FS would be on an Xbox platform. You only have to read the new Time magazine where there is a front cover article about the new Xbox and then you can see why the Xbox is the new platform of most MS games. I really wouldn't mind if it is an Xbox thing. That means I can enjoy FS on an armchair...Stelios

I highly doubt the XBOX360 Will be the new FS Platform.I think some people oh here have been blinded with the specs of the XBOX without actually thinking about it in true detail. one thing that should be obvious from the outset, is that whilst our PC's maybe **ON PAPER** blown out of the water, We have had 256bit Video Cards for over 2 years, they haven done much but still. Also Please read this article: http://www.pcper.com/article.php?aid=140Im sorry but no-matter what anybody says, you can not and will not be able to better a mid-high end PC with a

I think that microsoft wants wait to make compatible FS10 with the new dual-core processors and a good integration with the 64 bits technology so I'm happy about this announce :)RegardsPablo, ---------CanarySim developer.

I don't see any quote from the FS team. In fact, the wording is such that I believe Just Flight didn't get any word from the FS team at all. Who the heck are "those that know"? If, in fact, it's the FS team I think they would have said so. There is nothing official about any of this. Just more speculation.DougEdited 'cause I can't spel

Well,Let's not be dissapointed, I think this is good news, and no I don't think it is speculation. Anyway, a new FS version every 1 1/2 years is just too much, especially since FS2004 is just great and has enhanced my life. Remember FS95 then came FS98, that's three years, and I felt that it was worth the wait.Jeff
