June 16, 200520 yr I would think one would have some kind of mental problem not to be able to know what my favorite is :):-outtahttp://publish.hometown.aol.com/p3superb/i...s/sign_name.jpgThere is a fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness".- unknown"My daddy gives me up, to fight for you"- a US Military Members Child
June 16, 200520 yr Spooky,I have been looking for a decent 'Globemaster everywhere, apart from the www.byteforge.com version which is only for FS2k2 there is a big hole in the suppliers.Have you got this one and if so, is it worth it please?Dave T. .........On the lovely warm Devon Riviera and active 'FlightSim User's Group' member at http://www.flightsimgrpuk.free-online.co.uk/ Dave Taylor

A friend showed it to me some time back but I never got it, but your request sparked my memory. I'm curious to know if it's better in flight then in the screenshots. The VC in the screenshots dont look too good to me but you know how screenshots can be. If you get it post a review on here, I'm curious too.
June 16, 200520 yr Dave,Quick update, I talked to someone that owns the FSD C17 and he says it looks like the POSKY C17 with a new panel on it, he compaired the bmps and he says they are named different but exactly the same. So maybe we need more info before we plop money down on it
June 16, 200520 yr I wish the edit option wouldnt time out here....David, I checked the free C17 from the page you supplied and it doesnt have a VC at all so maybe the fsd is a reworked posky since the FSD website shows a VC.
June 16, 200520 yr Any news on the Captin Sim C-130? I am really looking foward to that one. And from the preview photos I have seen it looks like it will be a beauty!
June 17, 200520 yr I love the Team FS KBT F18E/F Super Hornet. It rocks, I mean the new F18E/Fs are neat and probably a replacement for the F14s now being being phased out. If I am not mistaken the F18E/F version is a larger frame and has larger engines? Or just has larger/powerful engines.Anyway aerialfoundy looks cool I might get the RAAF one since there is newly painted RAAF Hornet in the Blue colour special scheme. It has a virtual cockpit? (Aerialfoundry doesn't have the F18E/F?)I am going to try the F14 files above since I am a fan and have never found a FS design that is reasonable. Are there any P51s you can get? I have been looking.Lastly, I have been trying to get info on refuelling operations. I know there are some freeware a/c that ARE takers and some ARE fighters like Team FS KBT's F18E/F that have a refuel nozzle fitted (to the FS version as it is in real life). Someone has told me that the Lago product enable refuel ops (F16 or Tornado) but is there another way? I am not looking for a freebie here but always like to search all avenues to make better decisions. One idea for the next FS version. Why not have a Hercules C130, and then leave it on autopilot, exit the cockpit (so the new FS would have a 'walk feature' or a 'walk and jump feature' in this case!!!!---you could do your own walkarounds!) get the parachute and put it on, then jump.......... so you could also eject on fighters, fire bullets/missiles and see good explosions (the explosions on FS2004 are better than previous FS versions mind you). Maybe FS could have this in Combat Sim which will hook on to the new version of FS? Anyhow no matter how they do it it would be fun!Danielwww.danielmcaloon.tk
June 17, 200520 yr Can you fly 747s in LOMAC?Can you fly around the world? My point is you can control what happens in FS.And for a start you can't find your home city in LOMAC! (What terrain IS in LOMAC?)Daniel
June 17, 200520 yr For the benefit of those asking about the FSD C-17 Globemaster, it is made by Owen Hewitt, who was with POSky a few years back, and worked on their model. He's been working on his Gmax version for some time, and its now released by FSD (his most recent group, although he has just recently moved on again). It comes with a nice VC, default 747 panel, and a superb model with normal eye candy, animations etc. The VC is not in the league of LDS 767 kind of quality, but Owens time was I am sure being utilised elsewhere, so it was never meant to be perfect. It is nonetheless very very good, and one must remember that the C-17 is accompanied by a model of the T-38, so you get both aircraft for 12 dollars. Can't say fairer than that!I love it, and can't stop flying it!Al.
June 17, 200520 yr Ah, that clears that up, so it is a reworked version of the posky and isnt the T38 a freebee on AVSIM, thats where I got it. I'm glad he put a VC in it, I wont fly planes with out a VC. Do you know if he plans to make a propper VC for it tho?
June 18, 200520 yr I've been looking for a good P-51, too. Wings of Power makes what is supposed to be a very good payware version. I haven't purchased it yet.The best I've found for my tastes is by Andrew Wai. It's not perfect, but it's my favorite of the ones I've tried. I used to know his web site, but I've lost the link. I had downloaded a whole bunch, and this one has a series that has been reworked by Robert Hawk and Will Guillermo that is popular. The model I'm currently playing with is p51Dah28.zip.The RD_P-51D.zip by Roger Dial is popular as well, with tons of repaints, including a rework by Robert Hawk (P51D.zip) to tune it from a reno racer to a stock Mustang.I'd love to hear of other models. I am partial to models with detailded VC's.Thanks,Thomas Perry
