March 18, 201511 yr No, not exactly. My resolution will be the same as it is now 3840 x 2160 ... what I'm hoping is that the card can deal with particle systems (FX) like smoke, jet wash ... also deal with dense clouds with high AA settings without taking much of an FPS hit. And maybe if I'm very lucky, shadow processing (terrain shadows?) and reflections will be faster and I might be able to tweak the prepar3d.cfg to increase the quality of shadows without take a huge FPS hit (especially during dawn/dusk). Where the Titan X will most likely NOT help are things like AutoGen building density settings (kills performance and consumes a lot of VAS), AI traffic, road traffic, ship traffic, VC. But first I must secure a Titan X. Cheers, Rob. Okay , now i understand i was hoping that autogen building density setting wouldn't be affected , as for AI i have mines on 40% (UT2) and still think i have to reduce it a bit more. I'm looking forward for your review Rob . March 18, 201511 yr Is there a way we could try making a SLI driver ourselves ? Based on Beau's comments from a few months ago it sounds like it was as simple as nVidia setting a few flags for the profile? Beyond that information I have no idea. Cheers, Rob.
March 18, 201511 yr Moderator Is there a way we could try making a SLI driver ourselves ? Lots of settings can be found in NVI. And in the NV CP performance can be checked. http://m.wikihow.com/Establish-Nvidia-SLI These are the settings I've been using with two 970's for quite a while. http://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/showthread.php?286443-Prepar3D-settings&p=1900022#post1900022 I had trouble with the AFR2 tweak that Beau posted but these settings worked just fine - I get a definite split of the load across the cards. You can buy one of Robs Titan z's for a great price or you can buy an X - thats your decision as I think Robs 500 dollar price tag is way to low - personally I would go for the X - but do your homework before buying as it will be a while before you can get your hands on an X anyway - good luck Rich Sennett

Vic Hi Vic, At this moment I have set SLI in the NV Control Panel. As I have 3 monitors in NV Surround I had to disable It , set SLI settings and then re-enabled SLI. Also I have 1 Titan connectecto 2 monitors and the other Titan connected to the 3rd monitor. Would it be better to connect them all to one card when using SLI ? 5950x3d 5.4-5.7 GHz - Asus ROG 870 Crosshair Apex - GSkill Neo 2x 24 Gb 6000 mhz / cas 26 - MSI RTX 5090 Gaming Trio OC - 1x SSD M2 6000 2TB - 1x SSD M2 2800/1800 1Tb - Corsair 5400 case - Corsair 360 liquid cooling set - 3x 75’ TCL tv. 13600 6 cores @ 5.1 GHz / 8 cores @ 4.0 GHz (hypterthreading on) - Asus ROG Strix Gaming D - GSkill Trident 4x Gb 3200 MHz cas 15 - Asus TUF RTX 4080 16 Gb - 1x SSD M2 2800/1800 2TB - 2x Sata 600 SSD 500 Mb - Corsair D4000 Airflow case - NXT Krajen Z63 AIO liquide cooling - FOV : 200 degrees My flightsim vids : https://www.youtube.com/user/fswidesim/videos?shelf_id=0&sort=dd&view=0
