Just done.Searched up to 17 pages, cannot see anything related to this.

Perhaps I'm blind, but have done a search and come up blank. A link to it, perhaps? Thanks.

PF3? What is that? Wow, this is the most impressive piece of development I have seen for the VC-10. Unbelievable.

Great video. Fantastic work.

Thanks for that. PF3 is a full transformation of Pro Flight Emulator without PF2000. It has been completely updated

and you can get it here http://www.oncourse-software.co.uk/

there is also a try before you buy version. Limited compared to the full edition but enough to give you a taste.

And the support forum is first class.

I'm not planning for anything on Steam btw.

Thanks for that heads-up but when I look at that link to buy this PF2(will the VC-10 be made for/compatible with it, i.e.the First Class offering?), it says 'Product withdrawn'.

Am I looking in the wrong place, or something?

EDIT: Ignore all above re:not finding it. I found it. It's just I got confused with the ATIS bit.

Will this be good to go in both FS9 and FSX+Acceleration?

As I don't use FSX I can't guarantee anything. Having said that I would expect most if not all functions to work as they have done in past updates. Even though FSX XML schema has 60 or so additional functions most developers using XML stick with the FS9 schema as it is easier to use and debug. It even works 100% in P3D.

Thank you. Good, will be waiting to update both FS9 and FSX. For the latter, can only try it out, but have had no problems with the earlier updates though.

Listening to the sounds in the video on a head set - very nice indeed!

Regards.

I always use a head set so the sounds are balanced for that.

Hello together,

having the privilege to live very close to the Hermeskeil aviation museum in south-west :germany-flag: where G-ARVF is exhibited in all her beauty (what a light-flooded flightdeck!), I'm almost fainting in dire waiting for the release of your upgrade.

I'm so excited and promise to pull myself a little bit longer together until release date has finally come. Before then, please accept my commendation for your work so far and receive my sincerest gratitude. :clapping: Enough now for the sweet talk

Best,

paulopp

Best regards,

Christian Kelter

G-ARVF

OMG, I serviced that particular aircraft during my days at BA. Never thought I'd see that Regn surface again.

It's coming Guys it's coming! I have been very busy lately with crew certification. I'm making a small change to the model regarding the "Power Set" call on take-off (which is new). I'm changing the parameters.

There is only one identifyable real bug left to look at which is when you try to transfer fuel from the centre tank when its empty it shuts off the relative engines. The outer tanks 1A and 4A should still be able in theory to transfer fuel to tank 1 and 4 but currently they are part of the whole system. If I can isolate them then it's good to go.

Getting this upgrade ready is a bit like that conundrum where you stand in the middle of a room and walk 50% of the distance to the door and repeat 50% each time :-))

Great to rejoin long-lost friends! What was your occupation, if I may ask? By the way, do you know why this special ship had been chosen as the personal carrier of the UAE head of state?

paulopp, you must have read my mind. Oddly enough as soon as I saw that Regn No, my memory, faded nowadays, from those halcyon days at Hatton Cross, told me that was the personal carrier of the Sheikh of the UAE before the modern day Emirates and his son's A380 carrier came into being, but I was not 100% certain as I have no idea where my logbook has gone. I think it was chosen because it was one of the Supers---longer range-- acquired from the then recently-folded EAA, and BA were laying the political groundwork for the other aircraft in our hangar, the ubiquitous Concorde re:routes, refuellling etc at Bahrain,

Boy, was that particular VC-10 so well kitted out and furnished, gold everything unlike the 'cattle class; defaults, that when it came in to the hangar we used to all want to scramble to take a peek.

I was in the Avionics Section, British Aircraft; other side of the hangar were the 707s. Our head of section was a lovely guy called Eric Laxen. Interviewed me as I was ex-RAF VC-10 and gave me the job there.

I met a colleague of mine, who was on the 707s, 35 years later, at of all places, Bombay airport.

Nice to touch base with you.

Ah, I didn't take the Concorde into account, makes sense. However, G-ARVF is a 'standard' 1101, no stretches, if I may correct you. Maybe the sheikh simply preferred the 'high and hot' characteristics of the VC10. I was just wondering if there was a special reason to pick this particular airframe (c/n 808) or if that was just the one available at the moment.

That actually was my first impression when I stood in the galley! Long ago in the past, as I understand, the museum allowed you to walk through the whole plane, now, because of looting, you must stare through plexiglas. Nevertheless, you can still catch the golden VIP look of the cabin. I never have been in a widebody yet, but the cabin appears rather wide to me as does the flight deck.

It is me who has the honour to talk with you as one man who actually has a first-hand history with the original hardware we simmers try to revive in our hobby. :im Not Worthy: I am just a student of political science :Nerd: with no professional connection to aviation whatsoever.

Best regards,

Christian Kelter

By all means, do correct me. Did I not say I was now in the 'faded memory' zone?

It was us in the RAF that got those ex-EAA Supers.

Sharing a hobby like this that evokes warm memories  works both ways.
