June 25, 201510 yr Moderator Great shots. One thing X-Plane does well out of the box is mountain scenery
June 25, 201510 yr The planes in X Plane that are white all look a very light grey. Xplane already supports normal maps so it can make this if better , look at carenado planes in this term or other highly detailed ones. It doesn't have metal reflections though , but it seems like they are looking at physically based rendering , which is what modern games (like GTA V) uses to get the outstanding shading , reflections , and overall material apperance and response to lightning (so metal will look like metal for example). But I think this is something for Xplane11 , just like in V10 they brought deffered rendering , IMO it's very likely that PBR is going to be THE THING for V11.
