July 18, 201510 yr Perhaps because it's not an insider talking, but an outsider, speculating. The talk of 64-bit if you need the skinny is in the official P3D forums, where some broad clues have been dropped by the developers.

July 19, 201510 yr Moderator So now we have Stanislaw saying that we'll have a 64 bit version and John Venema saying there will be no 64 bit version.
