Prior to the release of WIN 10,  I was running WIN 7 (no issues).  FSX with all the addons (SteveFX, PMDG, ORBX, ACTIVE Sky, MYTraffic, etc) all ran very smoothly.  Since the installation I've run FSX (running very slow - doing the recheck of the "trusted software" which was ok for the 1st time and finally some 30 minutes later finished loading the program.  FSX seems to be looking for something or running into a wall?

• Are the latest round of loading issues got something to do with DX12 - DX10 - DX9?  I'm running STEVEFX in DX10 mode? 
• Is it a NVIDIA Drivers problem? Mine are all up to date.
• All my other games PR and World of Tanks are running fine.

What is your default airplane?

 Personally I would make a backup of your FSX.cfg and delete the working one to let FSX build a new one on next launch. Bojote's tool had it's day a few years ago, but that was long before DX10 and the fixer came around.

The reason I ask is because, through a whole weekend of troubleshooting, it turned out to be the default plane that was loading.  In my case it is the default Cessna 172SP.  Perhaps it became corrupted.  I am going to fix mine.  If I startup in any other plane it runs perfect but not the default Cessna.

Delete that cfg file and let it rebuild might help

Tried all the suggestions.

Edited the FSX.CFG as suggested by SteveW, then tried to ran FSX.  Got to the default screen and selected my default flight in Brisbane - Australia and got no further.  Next screen wouldn't load.

Then deleted the FSX.CFG file and allowed FSX to rebuild - same deal.

 

Also wondering if I should delete the Scenery.cfg and let it rebuild that as well?

 

I smell a driver issue somewhere or a DX issue.

Just my 2 cents,  make sure you are NOT running FSX in compatibility mode. if you are right click on FSX  - compatibility mode/change for all users and uncheck it.

Compatibility Mode is all unchecked, deleted the fsx.cfg file again. get to free flight screen then select "fly now" black screen - system is trying to load in in lower resolution screen. That's when I'm rebooting the system because FSX is hanging.

 

I still think its a video driver problem....yet drivers are all up to date.

To ensure the video drivers are not confused by an NVidia profile - follow the steps at the top of this page to renew the profile:

Temporarily rename the exe.xml and dll.xml and retest, perhaps something could be wrong in one of those, found here:

Tweaked the fsx.cfg some more.

Upgraded to DX Scenery Fixer V2.9

Decided to try and run FSX in compatibility mode

Never ever do this.  It will not work.  In fact, make sure none of the checkmarks are checked under the compatibility tab.  You want only the checkmark at the very bottom which tells the system to run the app in Administrative Mode.  You still have tweaks that will eat up system resources.  You can comment the parameter out so that it will not load to test:

To test and make sure they do not load, place two slashes in front of the parameter (i.e., //SmallPartRejectRadius=3).  This way you can test to see if the parameter is working or not.

 

If you have a Pentium computer or a system before Sandy Bridge, then these tweaks 'might' work.  You have an AMD 6300 system which is not very good and benchmarks below the Sandy Bridge Chipset  - http://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu=AMD+FX-6300+Six-Core 

Still is a fairly modern CPU and better than the Pentium.

 

TextureMaxLoad=30 is very resource intensive.

When I upgraded to Windows 10, before I ran FSX, I first backed up my old .cfg to the desktop and then let FSX build a new one. Then I deleted the shader cache, and re-ran the DX10 fixer. Reapplied only my necessary tweaks to the new cfg. Started it up, went through the trusted files nonsense, and everything worked flawlessly. 

 

If I had run into problems, I probably would've just reinstalled FSX from scratch.
