Hi Mark,

I mean preventing the iPad (or iPhone) screen from dimming and auto-locking ( or "going to sleep")

Hope this make sense.

Make sure you use safari browser. Add the CDU pages to the homescreen so you can start the FMS like you start an app. And it will be full screen. The go to settings and disable the automatic lock timer and the lock/unlock. That should do it!

Hi Ayarov,

thanks for the info. I already have the CDU as App and I'm aware of the option to disable the auto-lock from iOS Settings but I thought that would be useful ( if possibile ) to have it as part of the App

Cheers

Hi Emilio,

I'm not aware of any way disabling the auto sleep mode of the tablet other than modifying the setting globally.

If you know of such a JS script, please post it and I'll be happy to add it.

Regards

Mark

After having just upgrading to Win10, and repurchasing the 777 for P3D v3.1, I went to download the files from the links provided in previous posts. However it seems the file is no longer on the Avsim library. Where can I obtain the files from currently? Thanks in advance and I look forward to using this in my future 777/737 flights.

Thank you sir.

I just sent a license request through. I had previously purchased the NGX license, and moved that license file over to the new folder, but the server does not seem to recognize it. Do I need to repurchase that one as well? I would like to purchase the 777 license for sure. Will look out for your reply to arrange purchase.

Hi Mark,

have a look at PhoneGap or Cordova:

https://cordova.apache.org

http://phonegap.com

and this plugin:

https://github.com/zoxxx/PhoneGap-KeepScreenOn-plugin

Not sure if this would add to much complexity to your utility but it could also add extra functionality ( for example you could add keyboard vibration or similar )

Take it as suggestion ;)

Hello, I'm very interested by remote CDU so I've downloaded the last version to see if the connection is good before purchasing.

When I execute the server the fir'st time, I've this message :

simserver%201_zpsdkf23kfw.jpg

I say OK.The server seems off so I execute it one more time and i have this message :

simserver%202_zpsc8erpom1.jpg

I say OK and this time the server appears in the taskbar right bottom of the screen. I've  clicked right on it and choosen "get a qr code". I've flashed it with my android tablet. All seemed to be good on the server (cf image) but on the device i've a black CDU.Nothing appeard even when i click on the FSX's CDU ...

Hello Chadmaja,

please have a look at the FAQ: http://www.avsim.com/topic/475080-faq/

You are most probably running an old version of the NGX. You need to update to the latest version to get the CDU up and running. Make sure you UNINSTALL the NGX first and then install SP1D only.

Thank's a lot Mark. Effectivly, I thought i had already upadted my NGX but in fact, I'd not removed the previous version and i'd chosen the "repair" option of the installer (instead of a full instllation), that's not the good method. This time i did good and the remote CDU works perfectly. I've purchased the full version this day. It's a dream !!!! Thank you very much for this app so simple and low cost. No expensive device complicated to program with SIOC or other, just a tablet and a wifi connection ! Saving space on home, saving money and saving my gaming time (no breakdown to configurate, i can play immediatly !), Thank you !

What will be the benefits of such app over just dragging the in-game CDU to a tablet connected as remote desktop?

Cheers!

Maarten

Check your emails guys. Mark has an announcement for current customers. I won't spoil it here, but it's great news! Let's all support Mark in his work. The level of support that he provides is second to none, and worth the price alone. Well done sir.
