Hello Aaqib,

 

I suggest you run the server and check in view-only mode if everything is working correctly (you'll be able to view the CDU, but not control it).

If you are satisfied, you can go ahead and purchase the full version. There is an in-app option to do this (right click the server's icon).

This process is also described in the documentation in more detail.

 

@Brian: let me say this: I'm in contact with Oleksiy. No further details at this point :smile:

The app automatically adds the exceptions to the firewall. If you are using a different firewall software, or you have a NAT Router between the PC and your tablet, you'll need to forward ports 32111 up to and including 32115.

The license is bound to a windows installation. If you change hardware / reformat Windows please contact me directly. We will find a working solution.

Do you have a plans for the GREAT MD11 from PMDG and also other aircraft from Aerosoft, Qualitywings or Majestic ?

I don't think the MD11 ever had an official SDK, so I'm afraid that's not going to happen.

As to other addons - I am in contact with a few companies / developers, but it's too soon for details.

I tried the library you sent me and opened the file.  I entered the .exe file which then started changing some of my security files.  It finally opened into a folder I didn't recognize and had nearly a $100 cost to install.

 

I have given up.

I purchased a license a couple of days ago & it didn't cost anywhere near $100! 5 Euros, £3.50 which about $5.30 in fact.

Works really well, using an old Android tablet.

I didn't mean to imply the license cost was $100.  It appeared I needed to buy a program that would allow me to get to the website that was around $100.  I knew if I could get to the website the license was only $5.30.  The program had nothing to do with the Mark.

If you run into a website charging $100 for this software, please let me know.

The download itself is completely free of charge (thanks to the courtesy of our friends here at AVSIM). The free version of the software will run and you will be able to view the CDU. It's only if you want to be able to input data to the CDU you'll need to pay the 5€.

Hi Mark,

 

I only came across your app a few days ago - and it made my jaw drop ! Purchased it for both PMDG jets yesterday (goodness me : a glass of wine at an average local restaurant would cost me more than a license for this superb add-on) and got it up & running immediately on my Windows 10 tablet.

 

For years I've been using a redundant B737 classic training CDU, connected to a keyboard emulator, as part of my modest home cockpit.  It has served me very well but had the drawback that it didn't have a working screen so I'd still have to watch the sim CDU while pressing  buttons.  No need for that now.  Brilliant !  Hopefully Microsoft will come to the party one day with a facility to run your CDU as a webapp in Windows 10 - currently running it as a Firefox pinned tab and just putting up with the menu & tool bars at the top.  It helps a lot that the CDU can be swiped to close enough to full screen size for now.

Hi Mark,

I have a full license for both 737 and 777 and I find your software fantastic, I have just a simple request: can you do anything to prevent my iPad to lock the screen when the CDU page is open? There should be some sort of js library to do that on iOS browsers....
