August 10, 200520 yr Hello,Sorry to bother here but I have had this problem before and don't remember the fix. When I exit fs9 (version 9.1) I get an error from windows. I just cancel the error and all is fine but I believe that there is a second instance of the program running - or something like that!Does anyone remember the problem/fix?Thanks in advance,Ron SagelNear KCHS
August 10, 200520 yr Commercial Member I'm sure this is n't the answer, but it sounds like the same thing that happens if you set windows to only require one mouse click to open files/programs etc instead of the normal two. For example, you forget you only need to click the icon once so the first click opens the program and the second click tries to do the same, but can't....hence error.http://www.dreamfleet2000.com/gfx/images/F...BANNER_PAUL.jpg Cheers Paul Golding
August 10, 200520 yr Thanks for the help but that is not it - it takes two clicks to start FS9.I've seen this before and there are a lot of posts in the SEARCH for CTD on Exit but they are not the answer yet! Thanks,Ron Sagel
August 10, 200520 yr Now I get that but I know it is caused by the no-cd file as it doesn't happen if I use the 'correct' file and disk4. William Hall
August 10, 200520 yr Sorry but I do not use a NO CD file. I use Alchol 120 and a virtual cd drive. I have been running FS9.1 with the virtual cd for a year and have not had this problem until now.BTW - if I just terminate the program with the TASK MANAGER (ctrl-alt-del) all is OK. I'm stumped!!!!!
August 10, 200520 yr Are you using the AOPA Commander when this error occurs? That is the only scenario where I get an FS9 error on quitting. Bert
August 10, 200520 yr I don't think the No_CD file is the problem or we've have thousands of posts complaining about it :-) .Doug Intel 10700K @ 5.1Ghz, Asus Hero Maximus motherboard, Noctua NH-U12A cooler, Corsair Vengeance Pro 32GB 3200 MHz RAM, RTX 2060 Super GPU, Cooler Master HAF 932 Tower, Thermaltake 1000W Toughpower PSU, Windows 10 Professional 64-Bit, 100TB of disk storage. August 10, 200520 yr Commercial Member When you say you get an error, is there a message/info with the error you can post here? Does it do the send info to MS thing?Oh, and do you have the PMDG747?http://www.dreamfleet2000.com/gfx/images/F...BANNER_PAUL.jpg Cheers Paul Golding
August 10, 200520 yr Commercial Member The 747 is causing an exit error for some users with some add-ons and PMDG are trying to fix it, though I don't know if it's the same error message as the original poster has.http://www.dreamfleet2000.com/gfx/images/F...BANNER_PAUL.jpg Cheers Paul Golding
August 10, 200520 yr I have exactly the same error when closing FS9 (box for error reporting to MS) since I installed PMDG747. FS9 seem to start again and I have to kill it with the program manager.I hope PMDG comes with it's fix soon.Walter
August 10, 200520 yr This is known problem with the pmdgoptions.dll file and they have it one the fix-list for version 1.02.Doug Intel 10700K @ 5.1Ghz, Asus Hero Maximus motherboard, Noctua NH-U12A cooler, Corsair Vengeance Pro 32GB 3200 MHz RAM, RTX 2060 Super GPU, Cooler Master HAF 932 Tower, Thermaltake 1000W Toughpower PSU, Windows 10 Professional 64-Bit, 100TB of disk storage. August 10, 200520 yr Hello again,I believe that the error is caused by the PMDGOPTIONS dll that was installed when I bought the 747 QOS. Hopefully they will get this fixed in the future. For now, I just use the TAskManager to exit the FS9 program. Thanks for the info,Ron Sagel
August 10, 200520 yr I too have been getting this exit error and spending far to much time trying to find what addon might be cause. I had narrowed it to possibly the Rhode Island scenery or PMDG 747.Thanks to the replys in this post I'll just continue flying the 747, not worry about it and wait for the patch. Thanks Steve

They released a patch the other day. Have a look at http://www.anticyclone.be/preset.htmYou can make a test and move the file ActiveCamera2004.dll away from the modules folder before you download the patch Good luck, Ron :-) Ulf B
