September 16, 201510 yr Thx alpha! I knew that one, that's the only one I visit for the A320 Neo, but where's that update ? In what thread ? http://jardesign.org/forum/viewforum.php?id=22 you wont see it if you are not logged in
September 16, 201510 yr Ok aplha, now I got it - it's not the .org forum, but rather a new one. Thx a bunch! Just registered and got the update. Will test it ASAP... September 16, 201510 yr Author Might I suggest that you skip the A320 and buy the JarDesign A330 ? From the videos it looks more refined, and very beautiful indeed. I thought about it, as it does seem to be better than their 320, but I prefer the shorter routes that the A320 is used on. I do occasionally do long haul and when I do, I will get it. For now, this one payware is enough for me to delve into this sim and see if I will overall be satisfied enough to then invest more(and possibly even become my sim of choice). Also use the jardesign forum on his homepage, there is currently the 2.5b1 update, This improves the FBW even more from the already vastly superior 2.4 update. Thanks so much!!! I was unaware of this update. If I could interrupt this party ... ... I'd suggest going slow and easy with the add-ons. Learn X-Plane's basic features and differences from FSX/P3D and make sure everything is working before adding more goodies. Like a kid in a candy store, if you get too much too fast, you'll have problems sorting out what went wrong if you have a problem. Yep, this is exactly what I'm trying to do. I am devoting some time to X-Plane to fully get used to it before determining how much more money I'll invest in either sim(P3D was all I was flying and putting money into up til now). Plus, there is so much great quality free stuff out there for X-Plane, I can't believe it. FSX/P3D has free stuff too, but I'm not sure it does to quite the extent that exists for X-Plane. You can make this sim look pretty sweet for next to no investment! Are updates to the A320 just installed over the top of the existing install or do they contain complete full new installs? September 16, 201510 yr Well, since I just got back to my sim PC I rushed fetching and testing that new beta version of the JARDesign A320 Neo, and, all I can say after a short circuit around LPPT, including an autoland under considerable x-wind was that it felt a LOT better than the old version I was using, and I was well impressed by the handling of tis version! Thx a LOT to alpha12125 for having pointed me to it Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)

Thx a LOT to alpha12125 for having pointed me to it No Problem We can b*tch about JarDesign all we want, but atleast that guy doesnt abandon his planes Wait for the complete reworked 3-D Cockpit that is comming next, the 2.5b1 is the first step for that. Also if you bought the the A330 Complete Package you can use the Ground Support Module with the A320 now
September 17, 201510 yr Also if you bought the the A330 Complete Package you can use the Ground Support Module with the A320 now Seriously considering this ;-) Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)
September 17, 201510 yr I'll use both X-Plane & FSX for the foreseeable future. At this point in time, it will never be a case of ...... of never looking back. Neither sim, has all that I want, all that I've seen. To delete either, would be giving up something, and I don't need to. I agree! I have all 3 sims - even FSX:SE has something to offer over Prepar3D, - esp when you take into account the transparent ATC window (big gripe with P3D) and the ability to use the MD-11 (of course). I thought about it, as it does seem to be better than their 320, but I prefer the shorter routes that the A320 is used on. I do occasionally do long haul and when I do, I will get it. Hello Kevin, They are side-by-side installs, so you can use both I always create backup flightplans and copy the liveries to the latest beta that I test. Jude BradleyBeech Baron: Uh, Tower, verify you want me to taxi in front of the 747?ATC: Yeah, it's OK. He's not hungry. September 17, 201510 yr Author Hello Kevin, They are side-by-side installs, so you can use both I always create backup flightplans and copy the liveries to the latest beta that I test. Thanks! I guessed right then. Now, if I could just figure out how to import a flight plan correctly into the Jar A320. Can't get it to work so far. I create a txt file, LSZHLOWW.txt for example. In it is LSZH SID <name of sid> <route> <name of star> STAR LOWW. Is that right? Also, is there any of that great photo real scenery for X-Plane floating around the net somewhere? September 17, 201510 yr You can also get G2Xpl which allows you to create your own photoscenery. You just need to send the author a donation of as much (or little) as you want.
September 17, 201510 yr Author You can also get G2Xpl which allows you to create your own photoscenery. You just need to send the author a donation of as much (or little) as you want. Yeah, I plan on doing that too. Does anyone know, can I generate scenery w/ G2Xpl from any machine? Or do I have to do it from my X-Plane pc? I'd like to make scenery on a different pc while flying. September 18, 201510 yr Author Or do I have to do it from my X-Plane pc? It looks like I have to have an X-Plane install. Would the demo work? Or, how many pc's can I install my copy X-Plane on? Also looking at the JRollon CRJ 200. Any recent reviews on it? Regards, Kevin LaMal "Facts Don't Care About Your Feelings" - Shapiro2024
September 18, 201510 yr Author Or, how about the DDenn Challenger 300? Which is better - CRJ or 300? Regards, Kevin LaMal "Facts Don't Care About Your Feelings" - Shapiro2024
September 18, 201510 yr I have both the CL30 and CRJ200 and they are both exceptional aircraft add-ons. If I had to pick one I guess it would be the CRJ simply for the FMS. But I do find myself flying the CL30 more often as I like the flexibility of corporate jets vs regional airliners. Looking forward to DDenn's release of the Global 6000.
