March 8, 201610 yr Author Perhaps we are talking about a different issue? Im meaning the issue with night light splashes (strobes, wingtip nav lights, landing lights etc...) not showing on the ground unless you started the first flight in night. They didnt work if you transition from day to night. This was not a problem in v3.0, but became a problem with PMDG aircraft in v3.1 (i think PMDG have acknoweldged it an issue, but apparently the ball is in LM's court to fix!) Rich, We are speaking about the same issue, which first appeared in version 3.0. On my end, the issue was resolved by the 3.1 update. Remember, this was not a PMDG problem and LM were made aware of the issue by their beta team and other users and I a assume also PMDG themselves during 3.1 development/testing. I have flown 200+ hours in the PMDG since updating to 3.1 and as most of of my flights are 12+ hours, I often launch in daylight and transition into the night. In 3.0 the lights would not have illuminated the ground following a natural transition into darkness (unless I launched in the dark and then changed to the intended daylight time). As of 3.1, and continuing now in 3.2 the lights work just like they always were intended to. Dan Downs, confirming problem resolved. http://www.avsim.com/topic/475787-p3d-v3-landing-lights-not-illuminating-ground/?p=3350077 and Kyle Rodgers also confirming that 3.1 resolved the problem. http://www.avsim.com/topic/475787-p3d-v3-landing-lights-not-illuminating-ground/?p=3367502

I think I may inadvertently have not updated to 3.1 in that case. Silly me. Thanks for taking the time to set me straight.... Twice! Great news about the viewpoint shift fix - its been around so long, I think people may even start to miss it! March 10, 201610 yr I wish I knew what you meant by the viewpoint problem. :o I wish you knew too! Jimmy Nestor

March 10, 201610 yr I always thought this problem was caused by EZdok/TrackIR Nope. It's been around for a long time in FSX and it's heirs. Finished a YSSY-KDFW trip in B77W last night... never any unexpected viewpoint movement. Solid. Such good news! Dan Downs KCRP
