May 12, 201610 yr Author Mitch, enjoyed your pics so much I had to break down and buy YCDR to add to my AU collection. I know...these pics and those from others, can be a tad heavy on the wallet, Carl...)))))) You are gonna love it. Make sure you have an Amphib in your hangar...and I suggest that you take off...go over the coast....head for a water landing at the mouth of the sand-bar harbor...and then...water taxi..along the coast within the protected harbor......and then into the residential canals...and just see what detail there is... OH..OH.....I don't care what FPS you get as a result...but put all your graphic sliders to the right...as well as special effects. Water set to HIGH, with all the sub-buttons ticked. Have fun...and enjoy the great Orbx eye-candy that is engineered into this scenery. See if you can find the guy in the motorboat that will wave to you as you come near! ))) I'm not going to tell you where he is...just off-shore....that's for you to find out!
May 12, 201610 yr Sorry Mitch but all I can find is a pretty blonde on a yacht waving for me to turn around. Then a thunderstorm came up and I had to shut down. ?? May 12, 201610 yr Moderator Raised in Phoenix, I'm sorry! lol I lived there 5 years too long. I could never understand why anyone would want to live there. I tried golfing in the summer out there, lost 10 pounds after 18 holes...great for weight loss, not so good for enjoyment. That's so funny Jim. I'm from Tucson, born and raised and lived there for 28 years. Funny thing is that I used to golf and was a cyclist when I lived there and thought nothing of going golfing or cycling when it was 110-115 degrees with a heat index of 120. I guess since I was raised there and was used to it, it didn't bother me that much. Now I live in Dallas and complain about the heat when it's over 90, lol. Not long ago I flew to Phoenix in the summer with some friends who had never been there. As soon as the double glass doors opened and we walked out side into what felt like a blast furnace, my friends were wondering how anyone could possibly live here. Even myself was thinking, damn, this is too hot. Could be worse. I used to go boating up near Laughlin on the Colorado river. It would hit 120 in the day and be 105 at night in the dark. Now that was way too hot for me. We used to jump into the river fully clothed and be bone dry, clothes and all, in 5 minutes, lol. Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator

I used to explain to people that the best way to imagine the heat in the summer in Phoenix was to take and open an already hot oven and stick your face inside...probably the same effect. I miss it out there and then I don't...I guess I miss everything but the heat. May 13, 201610 yr +1 for those shots. Sorry to interrupt your AZ talk, on a rainy cold European night I am getting jealous. Is the scenery UTX TAC? Cheers, Hans Hans

Cheers, Hans No UTX TAC, Hans, The product, Ultimate Terrain, doesn't cover Australia. In fact, I don't think they have any Oceania coverage product that I am aware of. All of the shots in the thread, were from Orbx's Australia AUS SP4 and one of the Orbx airports for the continent; YDCR (Coloundra) Mitch

I have Australia SP4 but rarely fly there. Amazing detail indeed. Hans
