No Mitch this is a FEX custom texture and user defined weather. I am trialing AS2016, and like it a lot, but was not using it here.

Thanks Novation.  Is AS16 wham-bam 'different' from ASN?  Your take....?

I don't own ASN so can't compare I'm afraid. I've only used the REX weather engine and as that never really worked for me, results wise, I have tended to make my own weather. AS2016 has changed my mind about using a weather engine though as I have found it can produce some remarkable sky's, if not particularly accurate for me locally.  If it was half the price I'd get it when the trial expires, but 60GBP is hard for me to justify right now sadly.

Yes, the price is steep...for me as well, to justify without some fire-works over ASN.  Also, that you now need to buy it twice for those like myself that still enjoy what FSX brings to the table.  I think that I will put a self-imposed moratorium on purchasing for a month, and see if I really need it over ASN, or is the present urge, the new-gimme-gimme in nature.

Thanks for posting...great imposing cloud approach!

One of the most realistic looking sky shots I have seen!  May have to purchase FEX.

Thank you very much all :)

I'm hoping the forthcoming REX product will have clouds like this, but with better performance. For some reason FEX clouds knock a huge chunk of performance out of my system, compared to equivalent REX textures.

Excellent pic Novation! Did you share those clouds with the FEX community?

I have FEX and you to love the soft wispy white and dark clouds available for download.

Thanks Jose :)

Does the upload function still work, as its grayed out for me, when logged-in? I can't even find my saved themes XML's anywhere, and I've hunted everywhere I can think of.

If anyone knows where user themes are kept I'll then upload that, so it can be manually added to FEX.

Hi Novation,

I do not have FEX installed because I now use REX soft clouds. I stopped using it a long time ago, but after seeing your pic, I was going to re-install it.

The best answer I can give is, I'll check the FEX forums.

BTW

Are you able to successfully log into your FEX account?

That was the only way one could download the themes.
