August 8, 20169 yr Author Very impressive cityscapes and lighting. I think so, too. Remember it's all out of the box, no add-ons. Here's one more: - Currently giving X-Plane 12.10 a spin on Shadow PC. 10 years with X-Plane now, since 10.20
August 8, 20169 yr Here's one more: V nice! BTW are you adding the grain, or is it a PP feature in XP? It would be nice to see the same images without it, as it act like a veil.
August 8, 20169 yr Author It's a PP effect available in MaxxFX or Reshade. It's supposed to make the image more cinematic, less CGI-esque, a lot of modern game engines use it for that purpose, so I thought it's only fair to treat X-Plane with it. Especially with clouds it works wonders, as it seems to add depth and detail. - Currently giving X-Plane 12.10 a spin on Shadow PC. 10 years with X-Plane now, since 10.20
August 8, 20169 yr It's a PP effect available in MaxxFX or Reshade. Ah okay I've used these sort of effects in other titles and it can and does add a cinematic quality, and it can also help disguise aliasing to some degree. I'm sure, when full sized on you monitor, without additional compression it would look rather cool.
