I really have never seen a better night lighting in a VC in FSX/P3D:

I don't own the AS bus but I have tried it before on a friends computer and it's not a comparison.. the handling, night lighting and systems are far superior in the FSL bus

I am not a eye candy guy but the VC seems to be about the same quality as the AS one to me??

There you go John - guess you dont need me - we can wait on your paints  American Airlines comes to mind sell a bunch of those - check fslabs forum downloads section before doing any thre are a bunch there all ready - no AA yet

I know they've done a heap of them. I'm sure there'll be some double ups.

Cheers,

VC looks much better in those last shots.  Perhaps it was just the lighting in the earlier shots.   Agree the night lighting looks fantastic!

Insane texturing detail (even with max load 1024):

Just so you know and to clear up a common misconception regarding texture max load settings.

Having it set in the sim/cfg to 1024 ONLY applies to scenery, cloud and water texture sizes but DOES NOT, apply to user aircraft.

If a user aircraft is textured with 4096 textures they will display as 4096 textures in FSX regardless of having the max load set to 1024, hence the reason it still looks good with your setting is because it's 4096.

The only way around this is to manually resize the aircraft textures to 1024 or 2048.

Source for this info was from Ryan with PMDG who posted this finding a few years ago when the NGX came out.

Hmmm, that's interesting indeed.

I remember, a few years ago, when I bought McPhat liveries for two different addon airplanes, that it did make a visual difference, how the texture max load had been set.

And, the manual and a a pop up that comes up when the FSL Aurbus is being loaded, tell you, that you have to set the tml to 4096 in order to have the aircraft displayed correctly. The popup even asks you, if this figure should be set automatically within the FSX.cfg. I chose "no" and "don't show again", because 4K textures surely aren't helping with VAS usage.

Very curious about that...

I remember that Ryan's post, but i think he said that applies to VC textures, not sure about exterior...

But yes, both VC and exterior model are two MDL files, so that's probably right

Yes, that makes sense!

The FSL looks much better to me. In the AS model are mistakes like wrong flaps animation. The VC also looks much better, more sharp and more "mature".

The cockpit lighting is thanks to their great Spotlight program, I think you can add this into other aircraft if you buy the payware package.

Well done I dint know about this program - sold very cool - thanks
