November 6, 20169 yr I think the default ones look good enough. The added value is too small to justify a separate program.
November 6, 20169 yr Thanks for the shots simmerhead. I still prefer the Zinertek textures which I use right now. Some of the hangar shots from REX just seems odd to me. Sean Green
November 6, 20169 yr I still prefer the Zinertek textures which I use right now. +1. In the comparison shots the Zinertek textures look best to me. Since I already own the Zinertek product, I will stick with those. [email protected] ∣ Asus ROG Strix B650E-E ∣ 64Gb@6000MT ∣ NVidia 5090 FE
November 6, 20169 yr I'll be using both. Zinertek replaces a few more textures than REX, so I'll be installing Zinertek first, then add the best of the REX textures on top of that again. The REX textures are far superior in my mind, although they aren't always appropriate for the airports I fly to and from. The problem that doesn't get solved is the limited number of textures used by FSX and P3D for airport buildings. Neither Zinertek or REX solves this. You'll risk flying between two airports that will look essentially the same as the hangars and terminals have the exact same textures. What we really need is for Lockheed Martin or DTG to do a complete overhaul of the default textures, and increase the selection considerably. Simmerhead - Making the virtual skies unsafe since 1987!
November 6, 20169 yr I purchased it yesterday and to be honest I am disappointed! Pete Richards I've owned every version of flight simulator since Flight Simulator 3.0 in 1988. November 6, 20169 yr Everywhere nice screenshots of how it will look using WWA HD, but I would like to see comparison screenshots between default vs WWA HD .... Well, seriously, if you need comparison screenshots to see the difference, what good can the addon be? If something isn't clearly and obviously better, without having to compare before and after, I can do without it. So if you see screenshots of this addon and think 'is this better or not' you probably shouldn't buy it. I mean, after buying it you might think all the time 'this probably is better' but that would be it: you wouldn't actually see it. That would be a waste of money imho.

November 6, 20169 yr Commercial Member There is no comparison that can be made with a few screenshots, especially since we offer 6GB of choices! You can build your 'looks' with ours... the other... not so. November 6, 20169 yr You'll risk flying between two airports that will look essentially the same as the hangars and terminals have the exact same textures.Yep, that's the only regret I have as well. A work around is to fly from a third-party addon airport to/from a default airport and change the theme every time you go to a different default airport, but that's certainly not ideal. It would be great if one could inject specific textures for specific airports, for instance. Come to think of it, one could have some kind of community project where people could use default buildings to create an airport, but would be able to access all variants of Rex airport textures (if legally installed, of course). Tim, would that be a possibility in the future? Peter
