P3D 64 Bit Addon Upgrade Fees

Featured Replies

Just guessing about RealAir planes. From Robs video it seems same problem as it was between P3Dv2 and P3Dv3 before planes was updated to v3 - sound XML gauge. I currently not sit front of my sim PC, but that gauge is freeware and it is able to download new versions. So maybe new version, if it is available, may help... but again.. I just guessing

They are taking advantage of people essentially being in a hold up since the FSL bus is so heavy on VAS that you basically have to upgrade to v4 to fully use it.

+1 And they know that. I believe they have held back releasing the SP, because of the release of V4. If you read between the lines, they making it sound like it was a complete surprise. I would not be surprised if they were not beta testers like FSDT, and the thing is V4 capable now.

Couldn't agree more carlito. I've had some lovely flights with it.  More good than bad to be completely honest.  It's just the glitches and bugs in it which doesn't justify another 160 quid.  If it was up the the pmdg mainly 90% high bug free standard it would be a different story.

Being in the belnz stream yesterday all the high pitched screeching and " lols and lulz "from a bunch of young"  fsl glorification " (as you put it)teenage boys and more worryingly 20 years plus adults.  I had to turn it off.  If thats the target market then fsl will clean up.

I will gladly pay a good rate to Pete for a 64bit FSUIPC.  It is indespensible and the value of it along with support is top tier.  An FS Classic.  I'm also Hoping Maarten continues his amazing and inspiring work on SimlauncherX.

And loads of interesting stuff it enables you to do...tweaking things to make things work right, making tools, tuning controls.  Gosh, it's hard for me to imagine P3D without FSUIPC.

I guarantee you if PMDG had charged FSL would of too, dont for one minute think they wouldnt of done.

My mate and i were discussing this over a pint this week,  and I'd hedge my bets on pmdg releasing the 744 v2  on version p3d v4 first before the 777 and 737 to get some more sales off it as I would throw an educated guess they sold more 737 units that 777 units and more 777 units then 747 units, so it would make more business sense to release the 747 for v4 first to generate some more sales of the 747

I dont blame them for doing that if they are not going to charge to go over to v4 like they did with fsx to p3d.

For example when v4 comes out, if the only aircraft add on is the 747 people will flock to buy it if they havnt done so already
