For the Cheyenne here are the numbers.

Background_color=0,0,0
size_mm=512,512
visible=0
pixel_size=512,512
texture=$Panel_3

gauge00=MV_WX!WX,  65,50, 374, 270
gauge01=EX500_PA31T!EX500_config,  0,0,1,1
//gauge02=EX500_PA31T!EX500,  0,0,513,409
//gauge03=EX500_PA31T!EX500_Update,  0,0,1,1
gauge04=PA31TCAR!Toggle10120,  0,0,513,32

I also built a toggle for the Radar.  You can just copy one and insert the correct reference.  I keep them in a folder named "TOGGLES" in my gauge folder.

gauge05=TOGGLES!ToggleWxAdvantage,  0,48,513,450

With this setup, you can click the top bezel of the display where it says "Avidyne" and get the Avidyne pop-up.  Click anywhere in on the screen to get the radar pop-up.

Where is the inverter switch mentioned in the checklist?

Is there an APU switch?

No switch for ground power.  The switch for the gyro inverter is on the left sidewall panel.

An APU (auxiliary power unit) is usually installed in the aircraft. Ground power is the GPU.

In U.S. military nomenclature, GPU is often referred to as APU...creates confusion with people of different backgrounds.  I would presume no one is searching for a turbine-powered APU on the Cheyenne.

Ok, thanks

I see, thanx. That's really confusing, not only with people of different backgrounds. What's an actual APU on e.g. the C-130 or the C-5 being called in the U.S. military?

In Naval Aviation an Auxilary Power Unit (APU) mounted within the airframe and controlled by the aircrew is called an APU.  A Ground Power Unit (GPU) not mounted within the airframe and controlled by ground personnel is called a GPU.

Now this gets really confusing. :laugh:

Exactly the same in the airlines.

I also built a toggle for the Radar.  You can just copy one and insert the correct reference.  I keep them in a folder named "TOGGLES" in my gauge folder.

gauge05=TOGGLES!ToggleWxAdvantage,  0,48,513,450

With this setup, you can click the top bezel of the display where it says "Avidyne" and get the Avidyne pop-up.  Click anywhere in on the screen to get the radar pop-up.

Thanks so much for the WX Guage Mod.

Can you please offer a little more instruction for:-

Just a bit confused with this.

Rather than have to open the Wx Radar pop-up by a double keystroke or a pull-down menu, you can set up a toggle such that you only have to point and click on the vc radar screen to get the pop-up.

1.  Open a new text document using NotePad or some other text editor.

2.  Paste the following into the document:

<Gauge Name="Toggle71" Version="1.0">
   <Image Name="iconpanel_background.bmp"/>
      <Mouse>
       <Area Left="0" Top="0" Width="30" Height="30">
        <Cursor Type="Hand" />
        <Click>71 (>K:PANEL_ID_TOGGLE)</Click>
       </Area>
   </Mouse>
</Gauge>

3.  Save the document as "ToggleWxAdvantage.xml"

4.  Make a new folder named "TOGGLES" and place the "ToggleWxAdvantage.xml" file inside it.

5.  Place the "TOGGLES" folder in your gauges folder.

6. Find the file "iconpanel_background.bmp" in one of your Carenado airplanes.  Copy and Paste it into the "TOGGLES" folder.

7.  Insert the following entry under [Vcockpit03] in the panel file.

"gauge05=TOGGLES!ToggleWxAdvantage,  0,48,513,450"

Start the simulator and select the Cheyenne.  You should now have a working toggle for your Radar.
